Definitely Australia has upper hand. India tink tank to be blamed for the situation they have become. Just one month back india after Bangladesh series were looking good as they were in tests. Unbeaten at home for long time. But wonder what happened after gautam Gambhir took over as coach. People , most of the followers has a feel that players don't want Gambhir as he is not professional coach. Coach and capt should be replaced. Sunder can replace Ashwin forever. Axar Patel should be given chance Kholi should help himself, otherwise he too done. This 3 zero white washed Indian team will take some time to be top team like before. I dont understand why you cant drop Blundell and let Latham/Phillips/Conway keep wickets. You strengthen your batting and also gives better balance to the team. No one seems to be talking about it for some reason

England tried that experiment with Butler and it became too much of a liability having a non-specialist keeper. Considering Latham was a keeper he'd be the better option than Conway, but then he'd been captaining, opening and keeping which is too much workload on him. If you slide him down the order, you then have Young or Ravindra out of position, and then there's no guarantee that either Latham or Conway will have a better batting average than Blundell. Blundell has always had patchy form. Arguably his batting record in NZ is still better than Young's who's never hit big scores here. Still on his day he can deliver big runs, plus his ability to stand up to the stumps against pace bowling will be important in the England series. I'd definitely move him down to 7. No reason why Phillips should be below him in the order.

I guess there have been successful wicket keeping captains in the past, although in this case he opens the batting so that brings an extra challenge in terms of putting your body through so much without rest. Young’s record may not be great so far in NZ but he has the technique to succeed in any conditions, imo. Leaving a player of that quality out of the side is harsh. I was amazed how well he was able to play spin in India and he grew up playing in pitches which offered no assistance to spin whatsoever. Truly astonishing.
