It is a beautiful spot. The boat tour is well worth the expense. One of the best pie shops I have ever been to is not far from there (that was in 2006 so could be long gone).

I've driven, bussed and flown into Milford, there is one trick that I tried, went to the bow of the boat, laid down, held my camera out over the bow pointed down and took pictures of the dolphins riding the bow wave, used to take motorcycle holidays down around the South Island, great touring for Bikers.

The boat ride goes out to the Tasman,if you keep going, straight across the sea, you'd bump into Tasmania, its ,best travelling through the tunnel when its raining,the amount of waterfalls when you get through to the Sound's side,is a sight,its like another planet, Another awesome video everyone,

The drive to the sound is absolutely stunning. The problem is it can take you days to go back and forth because you can’t stop pulling off and taking in the views. Funny the tunnel was under construction when we went there in 2019.😂 but when you get to the other side it just blows your mind.

Loved your footage of New Zealand, can't wait till you upload your next video. We were there in early February as well, we headed up the east coast from Christchurch on motorbikes too. New Zealand is definitely next level, we were so blessed to be able to travel the South Island on two wheels.

Its almost Jurrasic Park like! When on the boat, i couldnt help but imagine some enormous land sea and air creatures appearing and putting on a show, we went while it was drizzling, the number of waterfalls, especially on the way, was innumerable, spectacular as you mentioned, enjoyed your reaction🙂

Did a similar trip to you last year. Down to Invercargill to Mecca, Ehayes and Queens Park to see the Burt statue. Milford Sound cruise and stopped at that same waterfalls on the side of the road with the crystal clear water. Drove along the Devils Staircase to Queenstown. Everything you say is the same as we felt. So damn good to visit 👍👍
