We went fishing in the Florida Keys with my Girlfriend who is a complete fishing newbie. Every trip I take her on I'm reminded how old fishing experiences for me (like catching a mutton snapper) can be insanely special memories for her. The perspective of someone who's inexperienced is so different and insanely interesting. We not only chased big snapper, but we also went far offshore of the Florida keys to chase some Blackfin tuna.

Fantastic video and what a way to start out life with a GF who likes to share the special moments of fishing. I have been fishing for over 60 years and still at it. I have passed this on to my daughters and grandson. With two more grandkids on the way in 2024 I will try and continue bending rods for another decade. Mutton Snapper. Great technique with the clip-on weights on the grouper rods. We do this quite a bit with freshwater trolling. Allows you to fight the fish and not the weight. You could do something similar to eliminate a lot of hand-lining for those muttons. Great videos and beautiful fishing partner. You are blessed.
