It all revolves around structured routine in my experience. Our son, now aged 16, slept through in his own room with the door closed from a small top up feed at 10 at night until 6 the next morning. He never woke again including at teething times. Sheer bliss for sleep deprived parents. 6 weeks was plenty

She is gorgeous!! All that hair is precious! This is first time I’ve been willing to watch your baby vlogs. Not because I don’t enjoy yalls videos, we’ve just been struggling with infertility for a few years now. And know how much I don’t want to be bitter, I couldn’t help but feel a little jealous energy when I watched your pregnancy vlogs. Today is 12 days past IUI and I finally saw something other than stark white results. I found sweet little faint lines on all 4 test I took this morning.
@JessicaElle
@JessicaElle 5 жыл бұрын
First of all, congratulations! I am SO happy for you! 🥰❤ It is completely normal to feel that way after having been through infertility struggles or loss. I absolutely understand! I had an extremely hard time after I miscarried our first, as I had a cousin who had a baby right after and a friend who was pregnant, who I saw everyday because we taught at the same school and our classrooms were 2 doors down from each other. It was very, very difficult for me to even think about others having babies when I had just lost mine and he/she was still inside me, but passed away, let alone see cute baby pictures and hear them talk about their pregnancy. I can TOTALLY relate. It is extremely hard and emotional. I do believe that miracles happen and things come along when God wants them to. I am soooooooo happy that you didn't give up hope and now your little miracle is on the way!!! Many hugs and prayers for you!!! 🥰❤🥰❤ Keep us posted! ~Jess

Thank you ladies!! The line was is getting darker! I’m headed to my fertility clinic first thing this morning. I’m praying these awesome little faint lines that I’ve gotten yesterday and today is enough to register with them too! I so baldly want this to be real! I can’t wait to confirm that I am pregnant and I can’t wait to make it past the first trimester. Maybe then I can breath and believe that this is happening! Jess- I found you through KZbin suggesting one of your classroom tours. Which seem like ages ago. I was watching when you announce you were pregnant the first time. I’ve celebrated with you, cried for y’all and celebrated again when you became pregnant with this beautiful angel baby! I can’t believe I’m now pregnant (🤞🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻) and you celebrated with me! Thank you again for sharing your life with us and for reaching out to me!!

I'm sure you may be doing things differently now, but with those Kiinde (or whatever they are called) packs for breast milk, you could set them out to thaw ahead of time, or at least in the fridge, and then fill the sink or a bowl with hot water and out the packet in there! I work in a daycare and that is how we thaw and warm those packets, as we have one child who comes with those each day! This may help to not need to cool it off if the warmer goes too hot!

@@ericalissette2078 this n Is normal. Just try to introduce the difference between night and day. Wake up at the same time every day and make noise during the day and quite starting the evening. Baby needs full feed to sleep longer. Make sure baby drinks until cant drink anymore. Also burping very important. Then startle reflect, so swadddle. Dont do anything else, rocking etc will be a nightmare cause they will need more rocking each day and you will not get any chance to rest and sleep yourself.

Hh Hh I fed my kids at the same time and napped them at the same time every day . I always did a full bedtime routine . As small feeding, play, followed by a bath ,massage and a bottle / bedtime story . By the time baby burped especially my son was very soothed and ready for bed . My kids slept 11 hours . My daughter was a little more strong willed but routine works !!!!!

Just a question I had heard that you aren’t supposed to use lavender stuff on babies less than 6 months old because it can relax them and slow down their breathing so much that they can actually stop breathing. Not judging , I’m just pregnant with my first so any advise and reassurance on products is helpful! 😊
@Thepublicaccount
@Thepublicaccount 5 жыл бұрын
They make baby lavender it is very weak if you only have regular lavender you don’t want to use more than 1 drop in a large diffuser or 1 drop in a bottle of lotion.
@ultraviolet11
@ultraviolet11 4 жыл бұрын
Use discretion with everything. If you are nervous about it, try just applying a small amount to the feet of baby's pajamas or socks before bedtime. Even around the collar of their swaddle does well. They get the lavender scent without it actually permeating the skin. I'm a nanny and also pregnant with my first and this is a trick of the trade lemme tell ya. You can also apply a few drops to baby's crib sheet or rug right next to the crib or bassinet. I wouldn't apply it directly to the skin on a baby less than 5 months tho. Not because of the sleeping too heavy thing but because its strong and I am careful about irritants. Even coconut oil can cause mild outbreaks on an infant. So keep it moderate in the beginning but there is no harm in adding the lavender scent to nearby objects ❤

How do babies sleep 9 to 10 hours without waking up??? My 10w old sleeps 5 to 6 hours and wakes up for a feed and a change then goes back for another 2 or 3 hours. Sometimes she wakes up earlier than that. Question do you bath her every night? We are doing it every other night at the moment just to not male her skin too dry.

Congratulations! Your baby is still very very tiny, and new to the world so try not to worry too much. Google the fourth trimester 👍 So much is said about babies sleep but reality is that some sleep very well and some don't and it changes so much as they go through sleep regressions etc etc and sometimes it doesn't matter what you do, ime, we just go with the flow and find that works. A tip for bathing them is to put a towel over their body while they're actually in the bath, keep it wet and it helps them feel warmer but also more secure. Then when t you're lifting them, quickly move the wet towel and replace with dry one before lifting them out. Again it helps them feel secure.

Sleep begets sleep. Let your babe sleep during the day, she needs to. If you try and keep a newborn awake they will be overtired and will have a much harder sleeping. Around 6 weeks babies start to understand the difference between days and nights. Hang in there mama, it gets easier. Just follow your baby's lead.
