NEWBORN TWINS
This is our newborn routine. All babies are different, this is just the routine we follow :)
7am - Morning feed (Rosabella has 3 ounces & India has 2 ounces of expressed milk or formula)
10am - Feed & nappy change
1pm - Feed & nappy change (Breast feed & comfort half an hour before)
4pm - Feed & nappy change
6.30pm - Bath time & breast feed if needed
7pm - Feed & dress for bed
8.30 - 10pm - Breast feed, comfort & formula feed.
10pm - Bedtime
1.30 & 4.30am - Nightfeeds

Ah that’s lovely, my twins were my first and only. They are 4 1/2 now and I can say routine is a must. It helps with the chias by knowing we’re you are. However as they were my first I didn’t have any newborn knowledge like Lucy. Big congrats to you.

Congrats. I'm a new mum of 5 month old twins now and all I can say, routine is key. I followed this exact plan. All I can say is please don't make my mistake and rush out of hospital take the time to recover and adjust with support. Also getting a feeding pillow is a great idea as I tried feeding separately and one twin just gets too upset having to wait and plus all your time disappears if you stagger feed and now their older I feed them in a bouncer. Also say a swing chair is a must to help settle them if both are upset at the same time. Oh and I know everybody says it but ask for assistance from family and friends, it's a true life saver in the early days. Hope this helps. 😊 Congratulations again, such a rewarding and exciting journey.

Your baby girls are the cutest. So refreshing to know you're already starting with a routine. Having a routine early on makes things so much easier for later on. You've got this sorted! I know it's hard work because my cousin has twins and when they were newborns she and her husband found it really hard as he worked nights as he's a paramedic. I would help her out by staying with her and take over one of the twins so we'd both have one each! They are now 10 and if she never had a routine she says she never would have coped. It's hard right now but it does get easier. They are gorgeous and those outfits are lovely.

I pretty much did things with my babies this way, all 4 loves the consistency and routine. When the girls get their weight up they could be able to start STTN at least thats how it ended up working for me, I would start at around 2 months eliminating the 1am feed, then my babies would eliminate the 4 am feed on their own, by 6 months they would mostly STTN of course sleep regressions happened and they did get off routine sometimes but I would always put in the work to get it back on track and they are all pretty good sleepers my 4 year still gets up but he takes a drink of water and goes back to bed, my older kids might get up too but they know to go back. Twins are no joke but you are doing beautifully!!
