Another hack to avoid getting peed on is before you take off the dirty nappy wipe a baby wipe just above the nappy area, the coldness of the wipe usually makes them pee so it shouldn't go over you 😂

I feel like hack 10 also saves any embarrassing 'daddy picked my outfit' situations. My hubby is good at everything but putting co ordinated outfits together may not be a strong point. My little girl is almost 5 months old & one thing I could not live without is puppy training pads! I put one on top of her changing mat, she loves to lay there and kick her legs about without a nappy on but that also means she often pee's everywhere! But they soak it up, I can just throw it away and get a new one next time without having to wash towels all the time! Also it's great because where they are material it's never cold to lay her on so she never fusses ❤️❤️xx

Sam Morris a cheaper alternative would be inco-sheets (they have some other names too) they look similar to a puppy pad but are designed for people with incontinence to go on beds. You can find them with Tena style products in boots etc

This is amazing! I usually steer clear of these videos as they're all really obvious and I've had a baby already (number 2 due in 4 months time - eek!). But some of these I have never thought of and they're so helpful! Cutting your baby's nails when they're asleep? That's genius!! For stubborn stains use a 1 to 4 solution of lemon juice to water and spritz it on the stain. Leave in the sun as suggested in the video and BAM all gone. I've used this on my cloth diapers and even they look like new

Regarding being hit in the face with pee when you change a nappy - another good way of preventing this is to use a wet wipe on their tummy before you take the old nappy off as it stimulates them to pee for a final time before the change. Then you can change the nappy as usual. Loved the last tip - defo doing that with the pocket hanger on the back of the door!

The outfit storage idea is genius!. You could put one of those over the door organisers on the inside of your wardrobe. You could go mad and have one over each door lol. Ive heard of ppl using ziplock bags to pack toddler outfits in your suitcase on holiday. Its much the same idea. Love both those hacks.

another one for the yellow poo stains... Napisan works reeealllly well! I just fill a tub with a few scoops of napisan and add some hot/warm water and soak the clothes for a few hours before popping them in the washing machine! Works best with whites, i haven't tried colours incase it bleaches or fades the colourings

From the time my daughter was very young she had strong opinions on clothing. I preferred outfits that match. So as she grew I would sort outfits, socks, and underwear into separate ziplock bags. Placed in a bottom drawer she could choose her own outfit each day-an outfit that I know would not arouse public comment! Also as she got older and more active, little knit shorts under her cute dresses allowed her to be active and no one stressed over showing her panties.

Fantastic newborn hacks. My baby is 5 months and I wish I had know about these from the beginning I love the outfit hack I'm forever routing for clothes and my husband puts terrible items together 😂 I will definitely be trying out the nappy hack I'm forever been wee'd on perils of having boys my daughter just used to wee on the mat or herself. Another good hack for stains is rub washing up liquid onto the poo stain or food stain if weaning and then put it in the wash. I will try the sun hack we are forever getting poo stains on vests. I didn't realise till baby number three about pulling the vest down 😂. Loving your baby series.
