A couple of years ago my dad found a pit bull, boxer mix on the side of the road days from giving birth to her puppies. So he took her home with him. This made 15 dogs in total at the house 1 mama dog and 12 puppies plus the 2 boxers we already had, Boo Radley and Porkchop (Porkchop is also a stray we picked up off the street). We ended up raising the puppies to an age about 3 - 4 months and adopted them all out including the mom who was about 1-2 years old at the time. It took time, effort and a lot of money but I would do all over again.

I used to work at a shelter. We have had newborn kittens (hours old, umbilical cords still attached) dropped off anonymously. They require constant care and don’t always survive. This is exactly why all our animals have to be spayed or neutered before being adopted out

Damn right vegan dancer, millions of mother cows every year have their babies taken away from them to either be killed for meat or to be abused for dairy and meat for 5 years of their short lives. I figured that they were pitties by their strong bodies. I'm glad that the owner did not kill them and at least took them to a shelter. The sad thing is that the Mom will be in a lot of pain, engorged with milk. He (she) could have kept them until they were weaned for the sake of the mother cat and them too. Kudos to Vet Ranch for everything that they do for these animals.

I fostered 3 (3 week old) puppies until they were 8 weeks old. Their mom was hit by a car. Oh Lord it was such a wonderful experience to see them grow & learn new things. Then, I had to let them go. They were taken by a rescue in Denver, Co. I cried all day!

I raised my dog from 2 weeks to now to 4 and a half years. The momma dog died while giving birth, and the other dog who took them in was getting overwhelmed with all the wiggly babies. I was going on 16 when I got her, and she chose me as her forever mommy. That time raising her up really helped develop our bond, and I learned a lot. She stole my heart and half my bed. I hope that one day she might help me in fostering other little puppies who find themselves without a momma.

Ms Concave Littermate syndrome is a condition in which hyper-bonded sibling dogs have difficulty relating to humans and other dogs. The bond becomes so strong that they become inseparable and rely on each other. This might sound good but it's very bad. They can't grow up to be individuals or independent. It causes them become fearful or many things including strangers, other dogs, even their own owners.They have high anxiety when they're separated. And training them could be 5x harder than just having 1 puppy at a time. This is because they'd rather play with each other than listen to their owner. And it's hard to train 2 people when 1 is doing the correct command while the other isn't. Praising/Discouraging one of the other will definitely confuse the puppies.

There needs to be a worker around the clock at shelters, not because of people dumping off animals that will need care, but because there are living things at the shelters and they must be kept safe. We don't leave children or adults alone at a hospital, day care center and no animal should be left alone at a shelter. I am glad you could help the puppies.

All of our dogs are from the humane society, our 2nd dog was supposed to be spayed but they had a mix up. So we got home and about 5 months later she had like 7 puppies! We figured out they where a mix of a stray and our dog (the stray snuck under the fence)! So we ended up giving the puppies to friends and keeping the stray.. so now we have 3 dogs 😜

The "shame" (more like horror) is innocent lives are thrown away because of people who shouldn't own a pet own one. If you can't raise the puppies then find someone who can take care of them, don't just leave perfectly lovable dogs at an animal shelter where they will most likely be killed because most animal shelters are over crowded. There are so many people who would've taken the dogs. This happens every day, not just with dogs but cats as well and other animals. I adopted a kitten from a pet store that had rescued cats from a dumpster in the middle of the winter. Some of the kittens from the litter had frozen to death. To death. The kitten we brought home was sick, we made an appointment with the vet but he didn't live long enough to get to the vet. Most animals aren't as lucky as these pups and end up dying because some piece of shit leaves them on the street or in a trashcan to starve or freeze to death or even wander off and get hit by a car. It's a "shame" that ignorant people like yourself don't see the value in hundreds of innocent beautiful lives die in as small as 1-2 weeks.

I am raising 3 kittens, long story. but one was full of flees and with mange, one with just mange and the other boney. they are doing great and a handful but, home remedies ate working great on the mange. wanted to rescue more but they wouldn't come near us. and tried to call to get the animals caught so they won't reproduce but they said they won't catch wild cats, smh

My dog is gonna have pups in 2 or 3 weeks and when they get old and my mom and dad sell them I'll keep one hehhehehe ill name him jelly they will never know and I all ready take care of the dogs we already have so ya imma gonna keep one hehehehehe ☺️

I do not have a lot of money to donate but I donated what I could because I personally love what these people are doing to help these homeless animal, even the animals that are not homeless, these people still help them out.
