I knew my search for the grail would pull this up, '84/'85 I could not get enough of one of the coolest electro melodies ever, and that hypnotic beat is to die for. Played this on my Walkman all the time, I didnt gel with the vocals as much as the music, so smooth and beautiful.

I left the country in July or August of 1983 when this song wasn't released. Came back in late August and first heard it playing loud on a ghetto blaster in downtown L.A. It was the most modern, funky song I ever heard at that time. Then I heard Cold Blooded by Rick James right after this song and I knew funk had reached the height of its creativity. Sadly, after 1983 it was all downhill and the radio was filled with ubiquitous junk and filler music
