the rendition of the foggy dew is inaccurate in lyrics, this seems to be more the older original version and there are some discrepancies to the more modern adaptation for the more recent conflicts, I appreciate this reply is 3 years old, but still if you want real feeling, see Sinead O'Connor and the chieftains version. It can not be topped.

Agreed - as soon as I saw the title of this upload and started playing it (and as I know well the tune and mode of 'Foggy dew') I was hearing 'Jolene' all the way through until the segway which could, I think, have been even more seamless if they hadn't dropped the instrumentation slightly before changing. Even so - a brilliant pairing of two wonderful songs and melodies.

Niamh Rooney He’s a mainland Canadian aka “mainlander” he only “lived” in Newfoundland as a child because his father was stationed here in the military- was not born and bred here, or lived here all of his life. Unfortunately that level of ignorance is quite typical of mainlanders lmao. They do the same to us here in NL.
