Just so people know, those "Itchity Grubs" are actually what are called Processionary Caterpillars, they're the larvae the Ochrogaster lunifer moth, also called the Bag Shelter moth: and they travel in lines so as to resemble snakes to deter predators, they also have a defense of urticating hairs, { which is why some people call them Itchy Grubs } . Witchity grubs are a different species, a larvae often eaten as food by Aboriginal Peoples in Australia. But Bluey and Bingo being so young, they probably just mispronounced a word, or didn't know the difference. Just thought I'd clear some things up.

Christmas in Australia is great, spending a lazy afternoon in the backyard with the extended family, grazing on food and drinking wine under the hot sun while you watch the kids run around the yard with their presents.

The funniest thing to me about the 'Christmas Swim' episode is how excited Bandit gets about getting tennis balls. We had a blue heeler when i was a kid and he was OBSESSED with them. He could hear a fresh tube of them opening from across the property.

Double Babysitter! I love this episode! Frisky is Chilli's best friend, not her sister, and she's Bluey's godmother. It's one of those episodes that feels like it was written more for the adults than for the children. You can read a lot into Frisky's responses about not having many friends and not having her "true love" anymore. And you can see how Rad picks up on her feelings and steers the kids' attention to other things.

Jay… American girl dolls are 100% more durable to random exposure than cabbage patch dolls. The cabbage patch doll was a totally fabric doll, like if you got that thing wet and it didn’t go in a drier immediately it would smell like a discarded pillow you found in the woods. Plus American Girl is highly expensive so you know those kids are being told “you’d better take good effing care of this doll if you get one” 😂

Well, the body is more durable on American Girl, but the hair is a different story! American Girl hair is all plastic, so it's easy to pull out or melt if you get it close to heat, whereas Cabbage Patch is all yarn

As it's been explained, Frisky is Bluey's godmother and Chilli's friend. Rad is Bandits older brother. We meet Chilli's younger sister in Onsies [important episode]. We meet her father in Grandad, and her mom in Dragon. We've already met Bandits parents, Stripe is the younger brother. Fairytale is another episode with them all I'm sure you'll love. My favourite character is Socks, and I love you get to see her grow up through the series. Just wait until The Sign. Again, watch Ghostbasket then The Sign.

A fan from New Zealand here. Yep, Christmas on the pacific is awesome. Nz and the east coast of Australia, sunny bbq Christmas are the norm, so are playing cricket or lawn games, going for swims at the river, etc Northern Australia, Darwin, different story. You get tropical thunderstorms for Christmas, so walls of rain comming off the coast are the norm.

Christmas Swim is a seriously underrated episode! I think this episode really shows how special of a cartoon Bluey is; in most cartoons with this type of plot, Bluey's new toy, that she absolutely covets, would be seriously damaged or even destroyed in some way and the lesson would be that "stuff happens" and I feel that is incredibly insensitive for child viewers. But that doesn't happen in Bluey. And I love this episode for that.

God, I love all of these. Again, 4 absolute bangers in this set of episodes. Season 2 is really strong (and Pom-Pom is SO cute). Also, Frisky is Bluey’s godmother and Chili’s BFF, not her sister. You’ll meet Chili’s actual sister later on (and BOY is it a tearjerker).

As an Australian, Christmas in the hot Summer is great! Outdoor cricket and other games, swimming in the pool, and a big barbecue lunch. It does get stinkin hot though, and you get so easily sunburned. The only thing I would like to experience is a white Christmas with lots of snow, and being able to wear an ugly Christmas jumper, cause I’m not gonna wear one when it’s 40 degrees (Celsius) haha

HOLY MOLY...Christmas Swim is supposed to be the second to last episode...and AFTER Baby Race... I forgot how much Disney+ royally F***S up the episode listings. Also, Baby Race is the reason why Socks doesn't show up for the second half of actual season 2 so don't expect to see her for the rest of the season.
