Perfect was censored by Disney. They inserted a completely different conversation during the boomerang flashback. The original version went as follows: Fido: It was all pretty quick, really. I was just in and out, and I even got to keep them. Bandit: Look, I'm keen to get it done, but Chilli, she wants to keep her options open. But I don't know. Do we want any more of these things running around? (Bluey crashes into him) The international version replaces it with: Fido: It was all pretty quick, really. I was just in and out, and I even got to keep them. Bandit: Yeah, I know I probably should get it done, but I love my dog teeth. I don't know. What if one day I just want to bite someone? In the original they were discussing getting a vasectomy/neutered, but that was considered inappropriate. (I'm not sure why Bandit wanting to bite someone is considered more appropriate, but censoring rarely makes sense.) Also, in the original broadcast Perfect aired before Bedroom. So it implies that they were cleaning out the nursery because Chilli gave up on having another baby and Bandit got a vasectomy.

Perfect was the one that got censored because Bandit was definitely talking to his park dad friend about the fact that he's deciding if he should get clipped or they should keep trying (he didn't use the term directly but it was clear). They changed it here to be about keeping his canine teeth which was just odd.
@swingardium70614 күн бұрын
I've always played Pass the Parcel with a blend of both styles: some layers have nothing, some have a tiny prize e.g. some sort of sweet or a sticker or a stencil, and there's a nicer prize in the middle. Sometimes one of the layers will have lots of sweets in it just to mix things up a little - it pays for the person who wrapped it to know when that one's coming up so it can go to a kid who deserves it! If you're worried about fairness, you can make little goodie bags that go to the kids who didn't win - it's not as good as the big prize, but it's better than nothing.

Pass the Parcel exists in America; I remember playing it at birthday parties when I was a kid. It was the 90s, and we played the old-school way with just one prize in the middle. I really love this episode. It does teach the skill of losing gracefully, but it also makes the point that it's better to have the patience and fortitude to hold out for something worthwhile, rather than getting instant gratification from something that's cheap and easy. Also, the final birthday party was Bluey's, so she's seven years old now.

26:35 The statement of "so many things will kill you" is misleading. Yes, Australia has some of the deadliest animals in the world, but most are away from where 90% of the population live; the coast. And most animals will just leave you alone if you leave them alone, so you don't have to worry about the fauna dangers if you're just visiting for a short time. If anything, the only spiders you'll probably see are a daddy long legs, which is venomous, but it's fangs are so small it can't actually bite you; or a huntsman spider, which are incredibly tame and are not poisonous.
@SarahRichardsGraba14 күн бұрын
Tbh as a US American, I think the lack of gun control here is way more deadly than any animal Australia can offer 😅

Yep. Tho wolf and funnel webs may be also the common ones, location depending. As long as you know area-specific general avoidance/ safe interaction/ identification methods, they're really not a major part of life in the major cities, assuming youre not an arachnaphobe. Going bush/ outback needs far more serious knowledge. I say that having had the crap scared out of me this morning by a young huntsman sprinting across the floor and hiding behind my mattress .. im considering fumigating my bedroom lol.
@MonakalizasArt14 күн бұрын
Actually the daddy long legs factoid Is false, they don't have deadly poison. And there's spiders sure, but if you're even on the outskirts of the cities there's still snakes to watch for. You also have redback spiders, and the beaches need to be watched too. There's jellyfish, stonefish, sharks (still rare) and riptides. Australia is a harsh country and that needs to be respected, but cities are still cities

Pass the Parcel was the first episode I saw. My sister insisted I watched Bluey and I was all "A show for preschoolers?" One day, I was over at her place and I agreed to watch a single episode and this was the one she chose. I was actually just visiting her when your reaction dropped so we watched it together. So happy you both enjoyed the episode. Just watching Pats plan go horribly awry is still hilarious. But it's a great lesson for both the kids and parents. The parents are pissed that Pat isn't giving each kid a gift and the kids are sad only one person gets something, but by the end, the kids are fine. It's a low stakes way to teach kids you might not always win, but you can still have fun and be happy for someone else. The parents learned their kids can handle a little disappointment. I love how we grew up playing pass the parcel where there was one prize at the end, but somehow it would traumatize this generation. It only traumatized the kids because they were taught you get a prize every layer.

The ones who want to phone it is need to learn to give it their best try every time.
