Newjeans is Crying!!??

Ador CEO revealed that Newjeans members are emotionally suffering because of the Hybe versus Min Hee Jin drama. During the recent press conference, Min Hee Jin directly spoke about how the members have responded to the situation and honestly revealed they were having a hard time. She especially mentioned both minor members of the group, Hyein and Haerin, who seemed extremely emotional. According to Min Hee Jin, although Haerin is normally quiet, she chose to video call her to speak about what was happening. Hyein cried for 20 minutes on the phone. She cried because Min Hee Jin helped her when she had a hard time, but she could do nothing to help her. She even said she would turn on the phoning app and explain the situation. It isn’t surprising that the girls are feeling the impact of what is happening. Min Hee Jin also confidently stated that NewJeans’ plans will “continue as planned” and that they do not want to have to “suffer” because of Hybe. Even though ador is having a hard time functioning because Hybe confiscated their computers, they were allegedly not able to continue working properly.

Why does it feel like MHJ has groomed the members? They're all young and influenceable children in a hard industry and she's crossed important workplace boundaries with them to an inappropriate level. What they’re experiencing at a young age is not to be taken lightly considering how it can impact them in the future. Taking sides won’t end this drama, it will continue to fuel it. Min worked on New Jeans' concept and picked out the members individually through auditions under her name, and Bang completely ruined their debut by coping NJ's entire concept so that the general public would be confused as to whether it was NJ or Illit. HYBE not only stole her concept ideas, but also choreography, photo concepts, debut date etc. He told Min to postpone NJ's debut and didn't promote the group whatsoever. Usually new groups get the chance to promote their album on Korean variety shows, interviews, etc outside of the main label's channels. If you watch the whole 2 hour long press conference Min had yesterday, you couldn't possible say she was "overreacting." HYBE was trying to milk Min Hee Jin for her ideas and tried to toss her when she whistleblowed, even going as far as confiscating the staff's PCs for a so called "internal investigation." 4 days before New Jeans' new album was planning on being released, and then had the audacity to tell the press "we are worried about New Jeans" BS. Watch the whole conference, it's absolutely infuriating and I hope HYBE gets turned inside-out this time. They need to checked for tax fraud and copyright infringement like yesterday.

MHJ brought up everything I said why Hybe hired her in the first place. It was for using her skills to produce girl groups. Bang PD had failed before. She mentioned in 2021 that NewJeans was going to be the first girl group to debut but Ji-woo Park changed his mind and brought in a new girl group all sudden in 2022. Very underdeveloped girl group without vocal lessons shall debut before NewJeans. Lesserafim is the most rushed girl group Hybe has ever debut. Illit comes next because they had very little time until debut and got no vocal lessons in the pre-debut. But they gave them privilege instead of crafting their skills for the debut. Hybe is really good at mismanaging their girl groups. If it wasn't for MHJ, NewJeans would have been underdeveloped as well. It was a wake-up call for Belift and Hybe when Illit got backlash for their encores. Now they refuse to let them sing in SBS radio studio and some Knetizens call them untalented. Hybe dug their own grave with this reputation for Illit. Comeback better be improved to silent naysayers. Still, it doesn't excuse for what MHJ is accusing for illegal actions. Hybe is no saint either. What I'm hoping after this drama is over Hybe change their policy and attitude towards girl groups to provide them heavy vocal training. MHJ leaves with NJ to start up her own subsidiary under Kakao. The latter has signed with Sony Music's Columbia Records last year to handle distribution of groups/artists from Kakao's subsidiaries in the US and Sony Music's Orchard to take care of distribution worldwide.
