it's very common in kpop to use 'jazz'/chromatic harmony, but to keep the repetitive aspect of pop. this is a basic VI V i bvii progression, very common in r&b. it's simply way more interesting and complex than most of boring pop (like taylor swift, for example).

@@qr-eh9es Im just starting to learn about music theory and I dont get about "VI V i bvii" I know what the 5th circles is but I cant match the chords of this song with that progression your just saying. If the Key is F, how is he using Cm7, A7 & D7/9 ? im so lost
