I don't fully understand why the original VO needed to have their voice cloned to be used in this way? If it was not for some extenuating circumstances like health or something, please just have them do their fine job like before. Not trying to be demanding or anything, I just don't understand why using Ai is justified or necessary in this application. It was their cadence of speech and inflection that made the retelling of these cases and stories stand out in this growing pool of "True Crime" KZbin content. Again, to reiterate. Very hard to mess with perfection, plus the super stylish intro was very very nice. My only criticism would be the alternate voice in the last 10 minutes of the video. It wasn’t bad in of itself, but it was kind of an abrupt shift from Kizzume’s voice. And this series is famous for lacking distracting elements such as dramatic music, cuts, and excessive commentary. And the voice kind of sounded like AI, which added to the distraction. Even then, no notes about the content and writing. I’m over the moon seeing you guys upload again. ❤

With all due respect this is 100% an AI narration meant to sound like Kizzume. (the actual original narrator) The other 2 past videos about Sarah and Grant Amato also use the Ai recreation too, although the intro for the Grant video is REAL narration, but the rest of the video is Ai. So unfortunately the Artificial-intelligenceless JCS we all know and love is still NOT back.

Go back and listen to old vids then come back to this one. It’s pretty obvious. Unless they butchered the audio editing. There’s like a metallic feel to the voice over. And the inflection. I’m like 98% sure this is AI. Plus the voice switch mid way through. Both AI. I could tell instantly something was off despite not watching a vid from this channel in over a year.

My theory is the channel was sold to a new owner, with rights to use a synthetic voice clone of the original narrator. And for some inexplicable reason they decided to switch the narrator from <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="2622">43:42</a> onwards.

Ha, I’m not even a criminal and my FIRST thought was LAWYER!! Whether you did it, didn’t do it, know something or nothing LAWYER if they are asking these questions. They can easily create a false narrative and it’s way to easy to incriminate yourself even if you’re not a criminal.

@@derek3154 yes that thought always enters my mind in every one of these clips, but its short lived because I know what it is to toss your rights firsthand. When i was a kid, 19 years old, i had my vehicle torched for insurance money. It was suspicious and i was called in to sit across an investigator. I came in with the thought that it was just going to be a few questions(they got no evidence) and as long as I'm cool and smart about it, everything is going to go away. I wasn't smart, I wasn't cool, she could see right thru it, however I didn't confess and exited the room. The insurance company didn't pay me, they said take us to court and see if you win. I was too young and scared to go to court, but i would have won. The police didn't charge me, it just went away and i lost the vehicle. But its always that ..."nah, don't need a lawyer because im cool." Then you get roasted in minutes. Don't care to tell this story, because I moved continents...the story is true 😆

Then I read you've moved continents, so that's not as bad (that and the statute-of-limitations has probably ran out). I'd honestly still be careful, but yeah - we've all done stupid stuff when we were younger, and prison often just leads to people going down even darker paths ime, so - whilst I wouldn't be so bold as to say I'm glad you "got away" with it, I'm glad you seem to have learned your lesson and were allowed to move on with your life :)

At times, it's an issue of correctness more than preference, it just places the most unnatural inflections to the point of illegibility, worse than most pre-AI TTS which just lack it. Please, I understand it's time, but voice acting is worth every second and dollar spent.
