I felt like they weren’t delivering on the Ivy Park topic at first, but they started making points that made sense to me. Beyonce is not known for her personal style, despite always serving a red carpet. She’s very glamorous and sophisticated, so the Ivy Park designs didn’t all make sense for her. Now had she done behind the scenes content with her and her dancers practicing or working out in the more athletic stuff, it may have helped.

Rihanna is attainable from a consumer standpoint, if I buy her products maybe I can be like her, even the way she acts, she's so down to earth and "normal" you probably have a home girl with a similar vibe. Beyoncé gives elitist "superstar", we don't know much about her, she's elusive, only pops out to make announcement, appears perfect on camera etc. that works for the music, but that doesn't translate when marketing product to everyday people, esp not sportswear 😂

The reason why IVY PARK didn't pop is because the truth is no one has ever looked at Beyonce as a fashion Icon and Rihanna is. Julian said it "she is not looked at in fashion" Baby D it would not have mattered who she sent that big box to. However you are correct she did not wear her stuff out, Mal is way off in his take about this and it would not have mattered if she was with Nike with Balmain or whatever she does not translate in fashion. House of Dereon didnt work and the same with IVY PARK and this is the 2nd remix. People don't remember Rihanna began to pop with Fenty Puma before Fenty makeup hit Sephora and then came Fenty Savage. Truth be told in fashion circles Rihanna and ASAP Rocky are looked at as more fashionable than Jay Z and Beyonce. IVY PARK makes me think IVY League and there is nothing fashionable about that not to mention that they clowned IVY PARK saying the clothes looked like Popeyes Chicken uniforms. Beyonce is beloved as the top top entertainer the Queen but is not looked with the same high regard in fashion. Remember prior to getting super weird Kanye really knew how to dress it translated to Nike Yeezy Red Octobers and then to Yeezys. Pharrell was really into fashion before BBC so him being creative director of Louis Vuitton makes sense. People need to believe you in fashion for it to hit and if you out and about not even wearing your own stuff it wont translate
