Reminds me of my great-grandpa's horse, who apparently would decide when the humans had been in a store long enough, untie her reins from the hitch, and walk home. Great-grandpa learned real quick to keep his business short if he wanted a ride back to the farm.

This was the same horse that decided to stop with the carriage on the railway tracks *with a train coming.* I think it was Great Grandma driving at the time and was *frantically* snapping the reins to get that horse to *move.* The horse finally looked back, snorted, and trotted off the tracks just in time.

That happened to me once. My niece asked me what was the stupidest thing I had ever done. I started laughing and so did she. What made me laugh harder was that she was laughing so hard and I didn't even tell her what I'd done. My dog did that a while back. I was standing right there at my car talking to a friend that I saw coming into a store. Anyways, I must have talked longer than I should as my dog jumped from the backseat to the driver seat and started to honk the horn. Both my friend were shocked then started laughing are ass off. Bob Taylor my Cavalier Trinket rolls down my windows when we go for a drive. I’m not kidding, she does it on purpose and it’s always open just an inch. That’s not a coincidence. Don’t let anyone tell you Cavaliers aren’t bright, because spaniels in my experience (I’ve had three) are wicked smart. She also cusses out her brother, a Sprollie named Howie. Dogs are smarter than we think, and they’re better company than most people (I work retail - enough said).
