megatronus is visibly taller than ss86 galvatron (which means ss86 OP too) and people STILL can't believe that he's not gonna be retooled into ss86 megatron? 😅 above all I think the important lesson here is for the tf community to grasp that sometimes figures /just/ transform similarly without even being a ~shared engineering~ or whatever, a tankformer is gonna transform like that because that's how you get tanks from a humanoid shape. the same way a dozen of carformers have the headlights on their chest or wheels on their shins. I think the rampant retool-savvy mentality lately has kinda made people forget about that

It's hard to believe the mold is a one-and-done. Megatron is the big name option for a tank retool. Hasbro doesn't always care about accuracy or even basic form when re-using existing molds. Hasbro certainly wants an 86 Megatron, and it already by nature can't be accurate. It's not that out there to believe Hasbro might consider retooling Megatronus as 86 Megatron, even if both it s a bad fit for 86 Megatron and there are other versions of Megatron that would better fit the mold. That being said, I don't expect it to be used for 86 Megatron.

@@BainesMkII feels like I've been saying this increasingly often lately but it's really not THAT hard to believe as leader class molds aren't as mandatorily reused as the smaller classes. doubledealer, dragon megatron, sandstorm, tigerhawk are all one and done so far (and even skyquake, shockwave, and armada megatron only got repainted into different versions of themselves/their twin and not reused the same way deluxes/voyagers are) and idk how yall think because yes hasbro will let some inaccuracies slide all the time but do you /really/ think they'll let megatron be taller than galvatron in the toyline that's meant to represent the two as being the same guy......? like they probably know they won't get away with that especially with the two being released in the same year. I understand the skepticism but like at a certain point it just makes yall sound like you're being deliberately obtuse lol

he's a leader class mold, they're far less susceptible to the reuses that many people like to predict. see ER doubledealer (which a lot of people have been /swearing/ would be MW soundwave or something), dragon megatron, skyquake/dreadwing (yeah they're reuses but they're literal twins and don't become a completely different character like G1 skyquake or MW starscream), tigerhawk, sandstorm I'd argue even figures like siege shockwave and armada megs also count since their reuses have only been repaints of themselves and they aren't pretools for other characters or whatever

Never got any of the Titans. The Trypticon looks much better in darker gray. The purple should be darker and it would look more like the original toy. This doesn't look bad, though. Not sure if I'll be able to afford it. Silverbolt's battle emplacement. You don't have to talk about Funko landfill fodder, TJ. There's a warm spot for those guys next to the E.T. cartridges. 😁

Seeing the Fallen without the flames attached is weird but the figure still looks good. I size and accessory load out is also impressive and is making me worried about the price. There hasn't been anything announced about the prices going up again but he is a bit bigger and has more accessories than previous leader class releases which makes me think the price could be going up again. I don't know what they could actually retool him into where he wouldn't still end up looking like the Fallen. There are things like that canon that you can display over his shoulder that make me think maybe you could get a Megatron out of this mold. I also think we could maybe just get other versions of the Fallen. Like he has that staff that the movie version had, he has the bladed weapon that his RID2015 design had. The Requiem Blaster actually seems to be based on the Power of the Primes design from the cartoon. There is a lot of IDW in the way this is designed but it seems like they also intentionally threw references to other versions of the character so that they could potentially retool the same mold into those other versions. The only thing it's really missing that we haven't seen yet is if there is some how hidden engineering to also get a jet mode out of this mold since that's the other vehicle mode commonly associated with other versions of this character.
