No he shouldn’t. Do you think if Connor or the boyfriend happened to be driving the boat (which by the way the kids themselves testified that at times Connor would take the wheel while Paul was arguing/ taking clothes off) do you think this man would be suing Connor or Anthony’s parents ?? NO he wouldn’t because they don’t have money - period ALL the kids were in the wrong. ALL the kids spent the entire night with Paul. ALL the kids KNEW he was too drunk to drive when they entered that boat. I’ve lost a brother to murder and a mother to a drunk driver. I KNOW what they feel. The blame lies with each and every kid who planned on getting drunk underage and traveling by boat/car etc... THEY KNEW HE WAS TOO DRUNK TO DRIVE. The accountability should fall upon them for not getting an Uber, calling a parent, anything besides getting in that boat. Period They ALL did the same thing. It could have easily been Anthony driving (in fact he said he “begged” to drive) so your telling me Connor or Anthony who were DRUNK could have driven without wrecking ? So if you believe this “honest” lawyer would have sued the boyfriend and his parents than your right ..... if not than this is a lawyer after money and saw an opportunity to make a lot of money for himself. Did you see him smirking and laughing at Anthony because he was upset that Mallory was missing a? What kind of sick MF does that? Did you see him at the hospital in restraints? His own grandfather said he was drunker than Cooter Brown. No one else in the group was drunker than Cooter Brown. Only Paul and Connor went into the bar and had shots. The others stayed out on the docks without drinking. Trying to say all the kids were in the same state of impairment as Paul is completely preposterous and disingenuous. On a related issue, Paul used Buster’s ID to buy booze…the store selling it was also sued. Actually, it was attorney Eric Bland that got more than $7 million for the Satterfield sons. He sued Alex's insurance called Nautilus, which is why Attorney Tinsley had to sue Alex directly (that insurance was already maxed out and no longer an option). Although, I do remember the CFO testifying about them repaying the clients Alex stole from while serving under the law firm. I think the Satterfield's fell outside of that threshold since Alex was the official defendant and he used his buddy Cory Fleming to act as the plaintiff attorney. After the Satterfield claim, Alex was unable to renew the policy with Nautilus. There was just a measly $500,000 policy on the boat for 4 plaintiffs, which would have been an egregious injustice for Mallory's family. Either way, thankfully the Satterfield and Beech family were finally put in the hands of dedicated, hardworking and very brave attorneys that didnt cower from the Murdaugh name.

The Satterfield boys didn't get a Penney of over 3 million dollars in insurance proceeds, and come to learn during Beach family lawsuit Alex is "broke". Obviously, this leads to big questions of where is the money and why is Alex broke?

So far the Beach lawyer, is the most impressive lawyer I have heard in this trial…no bs with him..
@Bebold94 Жыл бұрын
Mark Tinsley was excellent, try as they might they couldn't shake him. He owned the courtroom and none of them were able to ruffle his feathers. I think he was by far the best witness. That being said, it appears to me the fact this is a murder mystery trial is getting a bit lost.
@karenbaker2566 Жыл бұрын
Actually, it is clarifying motive.
@carolynmaynard3694 Жыл бұрын
I think in the end you will see how this all fits together. I think the State is trying to show motive in that the murders were financially motivated.
@rayshelldaniels5899 Жыл бұрын
The whole point is to show what Alex’s motive was.. he needed his financial problems to go away and that meant inheritance from the deceased wife.

That order didnt grant his motion to compel. It just delayed a hearing on it. That lawyer on the stand is committing perjury in between his arrogant approach to testifying. He should know better. Totally unlikeable.

@@TheRedDevil_NC I think both the witness and Murdaugh’s attorney might as well have been thumping their chests like King Kong. It was like, who can be the most macho man/attorney here, imho.
@jeffr985 Жыл бұрын
@@TheRedDevil_NC The Judge was staying out of it because it appeared the attorneys were going to resolve between themselves. Very typical for civil matters of this nature. Ultimately most of these case are settled prior to any trial. Both sides just posture back and forth for a while to see how serious the other side is about going to trial. Totally different than criminal matters. Technically there was not an order to compel but there would have been one if the information was not voluntarily provided and the case was not settled.
@TheRedDevil_NC Жыл бұрын
@@jeffr985 you proved my point . The lawyer on the stand said the judge granted the motion to compel . He did not. Perjured himself and then shows an Order like he’s Perry Mason which only confirmed he lied about what the Judge said. Then he talks like a smart guy telling the prosecutor “not sure if you’ve ever tried a civil case”. Total unprofessional and a liar. Has nothing to do with Alex’s guilt or innocence or what he’s done or that most civil cases resolve. The dude lied and was arrogant about it . Totally unlikeable

Mr. Tinsley's alive for a reason. God had more work for him to do. And this was it. He's so poised on the stand. This is what he was meant for. The Beaches and Mr. Parker, and to see Murdaugh get his due. I CAN NOT BELIEVE, he'd made it known to defendant, don't settle and he'd be suing Maggie and Paul, as well; just a couple months prior to murders.

When Malory's mother was waiting at the site of the crash, the thing for Alex and his wife to do would have been to escort Malory's mother down to the site together. Did he think that he was going to get all the kids to lie for his son? The truth was bound to come out. Paul was seen drinking by many people, he was seen buying alcohol. Alex should have handled Paul's drinking as though he was a concerned father wanting to get help for his alcoholic son.
