U.S. Grant was a racist, alcoholic, failed general whose wife was one of the largest slave owners in Missouri. He slaughtered tens of thousands of his own Union soldiers via mindless military tactics and was constantly outmaneuvered by Lee. In fact, he is frequently cited as a model of what NOT to be in West Point class rooms. Lincoln only relied on his because he knew Grant would just keep deluging the South with Union soldiers, no matter how many were killed through poor combat tactics.

You got what you may call fair, but according to the law? This was not justice. This was ridiculous. Ahmoud attacked an armed man, hitting him ini the face while trying to strip the gun away. Idk about you but in my mind, that dudes son had every reason to fear for his life. Ahmoud DID NOT. HE ran up the street TO THEM. That doesnt look like the actions of a fearful man.
@sueprice3315
@sueprice3315 2 жыл бұрын
@@metaldreams3595 Nope, according to the law, this WAS justice. The McMichaels and Roddy Bryan initiated an unjustified attack on Arbery. As the prosecutor successfully argued, if you are the unjustified instigator and the person fights back and you kill them, you can't claim self-defense. Legally it was murder. Greg McMichael said "we had him trapped like a rat" so Arbery felt he had no option but try to fight to get out of there.
@geraldineallen8060
@geraldineallen8060 2 жыл бұрын
@@metaldreams3595 but I guess you didn't hear Gregory admit they had him trapped like a rat. Now Gregory has Himself and his Son caged like Animals never to roam free again. Ask them do they feel it was worth it. Also Travis told the Detective he didn't believe Ahmaud had grabbed his shotgun. I will believe him. He was right there. He would know what happened. He had full knowledge because as according people they are saying the video shows Ahmaud as the grabbing the gun. But Travis said he didn't. I believe him. Now he can sit in Prison to figure what the truth is . His Lawyer said he wanted to tell his truth he did. He said he was in the house on his couch. He said Ahmaud did not say anything to him or threatened him. The Prosecutor asked is that when the Trucks pinned him in he said Yes. So tell me why Justice was not done. I guess they did not follow the Laws of Georgia. So now they will be taken care of by the State of Georgia.

@@cdf360 You decided he was a victim the moment you saw or read about it didnt you? Like you decided Rittenhouse murdered those guys on the street I assume? Like every other story that comes out thats politically charged huh? Youre assuming hes a victim here obviously. Youre going to say things like...they hunted him down, they shouldn't have been armed etc and none of it negates the fact that he attacked the son. Theres no disputing that the guys were yelling for him to stop.. that they just wanted to talk to him. They never pointed a weapon at him. He wasn't afraid of them. He was pissed they were fckng with him over nothing. Otherwise he wouldn't have run up the street TO THEM and attacked the son. Where he commenced to start hitting him in the face WHILE TRYING TO STRIP THE GUN AWAY. I cant think of a faster way of getting shot than that. It was self defense, if not for mob pressure, they would have gotten no prison. I have an advantage over you. I am objective. Neutral. I wait for the investigation and info to come out. There was no violence until Arbery ran straight towards them and went for the gun. That's when Mcmichael fired. If someone is trying to remove a weapon from your hands, the weapon then could be used against you, and therefore, you have the right to shoot in self defense. We don't argue when cops do this when someone is reaching for their gun. The Rittenhouse trial solidified that you can fire your weapon in self defense if someone is trying to take your weapon from you. However when it comes to Mcmichael, almost absolutely no one has 2 brain cells to rub together to figure out this is exactly what he did.

The Mc Michaels thought they were justified in ATTEMPTING to make a citizens arrest and with genuine reasons. There's something wrong with a lot of people. Mr. Arbery , the bold convenience store robber, the man who was known by police and was testified to in court, that Mr Arbery became "angry, hostile and aggressive" when approached by police. He had also gotten arrested for trying to steal a big screen TV from Wal Mart and again he became aggressive and angry when cops approached him. Let me ask you, when Mr. Arbery ran up the street and attacked ther son, trying to strip his gun away whiole hitting him in the face did this out of fear or do you thin he was pissed off he was gettinig effed wiht by these regular joes after he did nothing wrong? Cos I believe it was the latter. Nothing points to him being scared. Like running 100 yards up to where the guy were. Ive heard people try to explain that away and they sound stupid. Once he starting stripping the gun away, hitting him in the face? Mr. Arbery is no longer considered unarmed. I heard Roddie’s lawyer Mr Gough drew two pictures on a piece of paper. One with a man in the park with birds and trees and one with a man behind bars. When the judge read the first “guilty” for Roddie the lawyer circled the picture with the man in jail. Without the help from his lawyer he wouldn’t have known what was being said. 😂

🤣 Why wasn't he playing dumb when he saw those two racists chasing a black man down the street? Where was that dumb blank look then? Nope he seemed to understand something "important" was going on. All of these guys are playing dumb now but this all happened because all three of them had a sense of superiority. Oh the irony!

As I look at each defendant's eyes, I see tremendous fear. I was wonder have they took a minute to think about the fear Mr. Arbery experienced at their hands. Then they did exactly what he was fearing they would do which take his life. Then when I heard one of the McMichael's phone calls from jail and his exact words were. "No good deed goes unpunished" which indicates to me that he had zero remorse. Save them nice suits you are wearing because that's the last outfit you need for the rest of your life. Your new wardrobe would be a prison uniform. You have no mercy you deserve no mercy. Justice has been served.

@@Daisy-ef6bq What does that mean? There is no evidence anywhere to say he was. And even if that's the case ..that is why the police force exists ...you call the cops not take the law into your own hands. They chased that man for a full 5 minutes and did not stop to think about what they were doing. it's people like you that disgust me and make the world a horrible place. Look at the outcome .... A young man is dead, and these so called "heroes" in your eyes who were chasing a " thief" are now going to rot and die in prison, where trust me they will now have a pleasant stay. I hope you have a loved one or a child that is chased by people for minutes, on suspicion of him or her doing something wrong ....then we will see if you will share your sentiments.

These 3 cowards have no idea, what lies ahead for them in State Prison, they will be living with hardened murderers, rapists, and other hardcore criminals. They are used to their soft lifestyle, where they are lucky, if they have been in a couple of fights, in their entire lives. I grew up in the D-St. Projects in South Boston where you started fighting at 5 years of age and it wasn't uncommon to get in 2-3 fights per day in the summer. Whitey Bulger would lecture us not get in fights on school property, and to fight after school, in the court-yards of the projects.

If William Bryan would have just minded his own business, he would be home for the holidays. On another note, if he minded his own business, we would not have had the video and the lynch mob would all be free. Ahmaud was in a lose-lose situation because of these men. Even if Ahmaud was able to get the weapon and defend himself, he would be the one in jail, so either way, the outcome was going to be awful for him and just for one reason only. It’s so sad!

This was a right and just verdict. Sad day for everyone involved and a worse day for mankind. We lost young man far too soon and three more lives are done as result, albeit in prison as a direct consequence of their actions. They made their bed and will lie in it. But hatred and bigotry ruled that fateful day. But will not prevail. Hopefully, this verdict will teach future generations about just how bad racism, hatred, and violence can be. Overall, happy for the outcome. Heart still goes out to the families of everyone. Rest easy Mr. Arbery.
