Who is Marvel's Man-Thing? All Fearful BEWARE!

This video explores the abilities, powers, and origin of the Marvel Comics character "Man-Thing." From Dr. Theodore "Ted" Sallis being a prominent Empire State University Bio-chemistry Professor that was recruited as a scientist for the United States Army, using his imperfect bio-chemical resistance serum as a foundation for a Captain America 2.0 Super-Soldier Serum while collaborating with Dr. Curt Connors aka The Lizard, transforming into a mindless yet powerful plant-based being after crashing into the swamps of the Florida Everglades near his laboratory that happens to be near the mystical "Nexus of All Realities" portal, guarding the Nexus while empathically seeking out the evil and fearful for destruction, eventually gaining the ability to speak in the X'zelzi'ohr universal language, allying with heroic teams like the Legion of Monsters and Luke Cage's Thunderbolts as well as the Fearsome Four, to his unique powers and teleportation abilities even being used by the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization; Let's take a look at this instinct-driven Marvel superhero, and one of the most powerful Marvel monsters of all time. One of marvels most iconic monster themed characters! I love him to death, he has such versatility with what sorts of battles you can put him in, and really interesting stories exploring his strange inhuman perspective. My first read of him was in shed when he fought the lizard and it was epic!

I loved how Man-Thing was introduced in the Disney + plus special, Werewolf By Night. I saw him in some of the animated Marvel shows: the Super Hero Squad show, Ultimate Spider-man, and the movie Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell.

One of my all-time favourites! Didn't know they made him talk, that's...that's awful. I'll disregard that. One thing I'd like to mention, just because I thought it was cool at the time, during the..."Heroes Reborn", was it? Some late 90's event where Marvel had tried to make the Avengers young and hip with the kids (yo) by transporting them into a pocket universe had happened some time before, and "Heroes Reborn" or whatever it was called was basically backtracking on that. During that event, a Celestial arrives on Earth in the form of a woman, and Man-Thing is so terrified of her that he sets himself on fire. As you do. He also fought some Marvel Zombies together with the Midnight Sons. Or rather, he fought a zombie rainstorm. Not a character named rainstorm, but an actual zombified weather phenomenon.

Seeing how in Weirdworld there are many of them, Man-things are a species if im not mistaken. The most common one people refer to is "Ted" the OG Man-thing. So... for example, there is a Man-thing that works at Strange Academy. As well as a student named "Toth" (would love a video on him!), who is the son of a Man-thing and the queen of the Crystal warrior race of the Crystal kingdom in Weirdworld.
