When I lived in Jackson county 20 years ago we had one Black kid in the entire middle school, possibly the entire county's school system. He was in special education class and I've always doubted that he actually needed to be in the special education class. I wouldn't be shocked if they used it as a way to keep him segregated from the majority of the school.
