Annie, and, Newsies are very similar. If you listen to their Overture's, both start with a trumpet, playing the main song of the musical, Tomorrow, and, Seize The Day. Strangely, the beginning bars of both songs sound almost the same. Both musicals have songs describing the main character's background, Hard - Knock Life, and, Carrying The Banner. Then, we have the song that applies to the main character's dream. That the main character sings with the other characters in it's background group, Maybe, and, Santa Fe. Both stories take place in 1930s - 1940s, New York, New York. Although, they have different presidents. Their enemies are also very similar. The enemies are the boss of the main character, making the main character work, and, work. Also, both musicals have a song about their group having a dream on the city, NYC, and, The King Of New York. So, yeah, both musicals are very similar. I could write a whole easy, but, it's 12:21am, and, just want to listen to my music. I'm listening to Newsies.
