Long story: last Christmas I was staying with my parents, we went to a thrift store and i saw a pottery mug with abstract fish on it, I was drawn to it but didn't know why at that time. I didnt buy but kept thinking about it. I went back to the store a few days later and told myself if it was still there I would get it, it was! I came home from my visit and started setting up my smart tv that I had just received for Christmas. I was home alone and bored, adding apps to watch later; not knowing anything about it, I saw The Chosen and added it. When I opened it, I was immediately put off, "oh it's a Christian app", I thought; I almost deleted it, but I decided to press play instead. I was immediately drawn in, then I saw the fish. It was then that it all came together! I watched the first episode, the second, the third, then the seasons 1-3...I could NOT stop watching. I laughed a little, I cried, I surrendered, I re-dedicated my life to God (I grew up in church but became very cynical). I'm forever His child. I've since lead my boyfriend and my best friend to The Chosen, and to God (she grew up with no church and with a wiccan mother). My hope is all will feel His love, grace and forgiveness one-day. I was raised in a ambiguous way regarding religion. My mom saw that we children went to Sunday school, while she sat in the car & read. My grandfather & my beloved aunt were very religious. Faith & God have been with me all my life, but the Chosen brought out to me the reality of it all. I love the portrayal of Jesus because it is made real to me. I am happy to have God back as forefront in my life as a result of this show.

Well Carol, there’s a book out there by the title of Falling in Love with Jesus. The author is Dee Brestin and Kathy Troccoli. On their cover page it says: abandoning yourself to the greatest romance of your life. Jesus is my lord and king. He is also the lover of my soul. It’s a great book. You should read it! Continue in your faith. I’m glad that the show brought you closer in your walk with Christ.

The Chosen nailed it (no pun intended) I've been a Christian since I was born. my first book of stories were bible stories (I treasured that book and hid it so no one could take it). Became a born-again christian at the age of thirteen. I preached the Bible in my neighborhood wit a non-denominational church, in Harlem. I taught the Bible as a teenager. Throughout my life I have read dozens of books on the Bible and came to appreciate the true meaning of the gospels stories. 50+ years later I find this series, as if it were an answer to a prayer. This production, I believe, truly capture the gospels like no other productions could match. My Current wife was raised in East Germany and this is her first exposure to christianity. She is now a true believer and wants to learn everything about my faith. I'm thankful that can teach her and enlighten her about this amazing story, which has changed my life and many others in my family.

If you're reading this with any skepticism rest assured (coming from someone who's agnostic and not a Christian)... this is the best episodic TV show in years. Since Breaking Bad in my opinion. It's masterfully crafted story telling. Everyone - regardless of religious affiliation (or lack thereof) - should be watching this show, because that's how good it is. From the writing to the acting and directing, it's an absolute master class. The narrative tent poles from the Gospels themselves are so deeply embedded in humanity's storytelling throughout the ages it makes for such a compelling story line that constantly cuts deep... but it's the attention to detail in the characters and their development that push it over the edge. They are so real, raw and relatable it's no wonder the show has been exploding in popularity as it goes on. As they say at several points in the story... "Come and See"

I ordered their t shirt and hat and they gave me a white "come and see" sticker. I loved this show so much I put it on the back window of my car hoping that people would see and look it up. I have told many people to watch it, not because it's religious in nature but just because it's so freakin good! but of course they are all skeptical. It seems people have this natural that anything that's about the bible is just going to be boring or preachy, this show is the polar opposite of that. The acting is so good, the individual stories so good. it's truly amazing. The scene where Nicodemus meets Jesus for the first time and becomes convinced he is who he says he is, wow that actor who played Nicodemus was outstanding. I think he reacted as if anybody would react

I was raised catholic then got away from that when I was about 8-10 years old. Then I went to a Christian high school and became a Christian then. Years later, life got to me and I didn’t go to church often and I strayed from the path the Lord set for me. After watching The Chosen in 2023, I surrendered and rededicated myself to the Lord! And now I am closer to Him than I feel I ever was. My life has taken a sharp turn for the better now. I am so thankful for The Chosen, the actors and the director for making this show because it is really touching the lives of so many people. Jonathan is awesome! The disciples are amazing! The depth that they are giving these characters in the show is well thought out and is divine intervention in many ways. They are not just acting. Jesus is changing their lives as well as changing the lives of the people watching. Thank you!

So many times I have heard you share a testimony of how you had a growing career, but the bad 'reviews of the Resurrection of Gavin Stone, which eventually led you to do,' The Sheppard ' for a Christmas church program, and, eventually led you to, 'The Chosen', for everyone you could reach. Now I realize that's my shortened version, of your shortened version...which is probably only partially semi correct, my point here is that I watched that movie tonight, and I feel like I need to tell you that it was so amazing to see the character of Gavin, who I believe has many characteristics, that we have seen in ourselves, our family, our friends, many people we know, and love, but can't reach. We have also seen some of these characteristics in the disciples of The Chosen, and I could not watch this movie, without developing a caretaker relationship with the character of Gavin...along with wanting to witness the spiritual growth of Gavin, through his discovery of his faith. I believe you are correct when you explained how the movie wasn't given enough audience previewing, and then inspiring bigger audiences with audience reactions, and comments. If that had been done, like the big name star movies are done, I know that movie would have had larger audiences. It should be done again....I am serious...I had never heard about this movie, but I had to watch it, because I know who you are. Now, I have another gem, that I will be watching again, and again with my family. I loved it. Sorry to have picked this particular time to tell you, but I was excited to tell you now.

The world doesn’t ordinarily reward Christian film. But The Chosen can’t be lumped in with the usual “Christian “ film. It’s truly anointed by Almighty God. Keep it up Dallas. Maryland. I agree with you that the cast of The Chosen show us how to show love to God and His people but I feel the need to say that they also show us how hateful and judgemental people can be. We can be. God chose regular people from all different backgrounds and showed them how to love each other and work together even if they disagreed with each other or didn't like one another. They argued and was sometimes mean to each other but God taught them how to love. How to have the unconditional love that Jesus and God have for us. They are imperfect people just like us but God showed them how to have real love. The world still needs God and the unconditional love He has for us. We can learn so much from them Jesus reminds me of when Mary Magdalene went back to her old ways God saved her from and how all the disciples felt her pain, but Jesus felt her pain and He understood her weakness. She said I am so ashamed because you saved me from this andI through it all away. Jesus was crying and hugged her and saidI forgive you. Jesus meets us at our lowest point and forgave us. He loved us. Praise God. I cried then and I cry now. God is so good and yet He gets blamed for most of the evil in the 🌎 and He is not the guilty one. It is time we believe God is good. There is no evil in Him but there is an evil one who hates you and me and God. He knows God cannot be evil and he, Satan, cannot be good. He hates us. He hates God and Jesus and us He wants to think that we should serve him. He knows that it will destroy us and separate us from God. In this life and the next life. We can learn so much from the disciples and their strengths and their weaknesses and how they dealt with it. God bless all of you. I know this is long but God's fingers led mine. I'm not a show watching person as a rule. I prefer audiobooks to TV. But I'm addicted to this show! It has the best depiction I believe I've ever seen of that time, place, and culture. I love things historical so it grabbed me from the very first. Best of all, I'm a newly converted believer (less than a year ago), which is what got me to turn it on the first place. My mom's an atheist (my previous 'religion'), and I want to get her to watch it. Not to convert her, but because I believe she would really enjoy it. Chosen series are excellent and extremely well written. I've watched it many times, and it has engendered many different emotions ranging from sadness to elation. Frequently, I find myself crying at the way Johnathon Roumie portrays Jesus Christ, The Holy Son of God. Before doing a miracle, Johnathon would look up into heaven, as if he was connecting with God the Father and communing with his Abba in heaven, made me tearful. Johnathon face acting is superb; he made me believe he was talking to El Shaddai.

Take the book 📕 in your hands 🙌 and ask for a light 💡 in the darkness. See what happens. ❤️ It boils down to 2 things: love the Lord with all your heart ❤️ and love your neighbor as yourself. Both are difficult. Guess what. He knows it’s hard. No one ☝️ ever who has sought a closer relationship with God has been left empty handed.

I am old and have watched a ton of biblical epics over and over again. The Robe, Quo vadis, Ben hur, barrabas, etc and this show really got to me, not only because of the historical accuracy of it, but there is just this feeling in watching it. A wonderful feeling, an uplifting feeling and yes spiritual. After a while, if you haven't watched it you miss it, it's like something is missing. I recently watched the entire thing for a second time and found many things I had not seen in the first time. Even better the second time and I can't wait for the 4th season. It's so popular I had bought a chosen shirt and the very first day I wore it I went to a vegetable market and the very first person who saw it was a young woman who asked me if that was a chosen shirt? I told her yes it is and what a great show it is and she just nodded and said yes it is. Funny thing I had recently bought a small gold cross of 14k gold and wore it and always wear it now and she had the exact same gold cross on her neck.

The greatest series of all time. I have watched all 3 seasons at least 10 times. I get more out of it every time I watch. So looking forward to season 4 but, I am hesitant because I know what is to come in future episodes and seasons. Stay the course Dallas. I loved the answer the actress for Mary M, gave about depression..that it is often a lifelong struggle, but faith is the main ingredient (my words) in surviving, and even overcoming depression. I so identified with her character. It was and is, also my story. There were countless moments when my heart healed, stitch by stitch, as I’ve watched and rewatched The Chosen. In The Chosen, Jesus' diverse personality shines through. He is an extremely caring, wise, highly respected teacher/mentor, brother, and good friend who also has a fun sense of humor, and a bit of teasing wit, which makes him not just admired, but also relatable. He knows the disciples and other characters' hearts, minds, intentions, strengths, weaknesses, and communicates with each one accordingly as only God's Son could. Each character is brought to life in a more real, personable way than in past movies, helping you better understand and remember them. I am glad it has been so successful and look forward to seeing more.

I so agree. This series has been beautifully presented as a real life-walk with all the difficulties and human responses to these. All actors have be ‘chosen’ carefully for their specific role’s personality strengths and foibles. Dallas and Johnathan particularly need our constant prayer cover. Though they are obviously daily relying on their Father for everything, they need our love, understanding, support and encouragement consistently. So, let’s pray for them and speak out that support when discussing the show with others.
