Actually, it should be any violent crime in which serious bodily harm is caused or has the real potential to murder the victim. Whether they use a gun, meat cleaver, run someone over with a car, or outnumber an individual by 3(or more) to 1. I’ve been a tattooer for 28 yrs and I’ve had my fair share of Guns drawn on me and fired, fist fights, throwing drunk bastards out. It was a group of middle school kids in Brownsville Pensacola, Florida that finally led to buying my first gun. They had it out for the owner of the shop I worked at and it didn’t take long before I became involved and they lay in wait while I was closing up and a 12yo boy swung a book bag full of bricks at my head from behind. I was lucky the tint of the window showed him coming and I was able to duck and the kid fell to the ground from how hard he swung. I chased them off literally. The next day the same kid was arrested for armed robbery right in front of the shop at a Chinese restaurant called “Great Wall of China”. I got a concealed permit and a gun the next couple days after and I STAY ARMED 24/7 NOW. KIDS ARE MORE DANGEROUS THAN ADULTS.

Kid arrested and prosecuted for a violent crime, parents then arrested and prosecuted in tandem. Disrupt the whole household, let them be held 4 months in jail; when their bills are eventually not paid, they then come home (whenever) to a residence devoid of water, electricity, gas, maybe even broken into an looted by burglars, maybe wild animals inside and running about, food rotted in the fridge. And if grandma and/or grandpa or whomever else may also happen to live in the home to pay the bills, maybe they can, maybe they can't, probably existing on not much more than social security or a welfare check anyway. They won't be happy in any case. Have fun cleaning up and getting the lights back on, chumps.

Why should taxpayers have to pay to house and feed these people for 30 years?
