Had the Slopes above the Villages been, Perhaps, Slowly and progressively Deforested...? Thus depriving the Soil of it's otherwise neccessary Matrix of Living Tree-Roots which hold the Topography together against Gravity pulling the Dirt & Rocks Downhill...? If such were the case, Was that the result of Increased population pressure in the area , or because Nobody wants to carry Firewood Uphill..., so, therefore Everybody harvests their Wood from Forests Above wherever they Sleep at night...? Or Both...? One notes that the suddenly Depopulated region had been Wracked by fighting Factions violently disputing Whose Land was Where...; with Everybody always wanting to Claim forever More... Will the Survivors react to their Now suddenly Lower population density By figuring out how to Get along with their Neighbours...? Shame on you Prime Minister James Marape, you have failed your people, they are the priority in a natural disaster like this landslide. You have failed the people here in this province. You are more worried about your own self as a PM and these people have lost loved ones, homes, their lifehood, farms, animals everything and you are worried about you. No gat sem. Christian you call yourself, well this is not Christian when you don't assist them urgently but make them wait and worry about yourself first. Think about your actions as a PM, cause you are failing miserably to PNG and the NATION, PEOPLE and Country. Our Prayers and love are sent to all the people who were affected, lost family, lost homes, lost farms, animals and their livlihood, prayers to all the other nations who are assisting with aid, first responders, food, and medical services required here, now.
