"Knowledge" and "intelligence" are completely different. She's clearly pretty intelligent based on how she out-maneuvered both Light and L simultaneously. She designed and delivered a coded message to Light under L's nose, which successfully conveyed a complex plan to Light, and also tricked Light into revealing himself as Kira. Light and L worked together against Misa and she still beat them while fully accomplishing her goal. The only reason she was even caught was because Light was being surveilled, and L was already convinced that Kira was most likely Light, so L searched the homes of everyone seen with Light (which happened to include Misa). Light got her caught. She wasn't a suspect, because she initially acted far more cautiously and intelligently with her death note than he did. She's definitely a lot smarter than she's given credit for. She just doesn't have to rely on her intelligence nearly as much because she's such a skilled social manipulator. She also doesn't have much reason or opportunity to demonstrate her intelligence after beating Light and L, because she accomplished her primary goal already. Although, she is required to perfectly emulate Kira's victim selection without correction from Light, and she does it so well that no one can tell the difference between her and Light (unlike Mikami). Just because she didn't spend her time studying doesn't change the fact she's clearly intelligent. Being a whimsical romantic in addition to that doesn't change anything. She just has different priorities.

Chief DVM She didn’t murder anyone for Light after losing her memories though. She just worked to help Light because she was in love with him. I don’t really see how that makes her annoying. She’s just ditzy and loves Light. But again, if her parents had never died, Misa would have never worshipped Kira in the first place. The entire reason she worshipped him was because Kira killed her parents’ murderer when the justice system had already failed her. Idk about you, but if I were in that situation where my family were murdered and the law failed me, but someone took out the killer in the name of justice, I might even be swayed to try and help that person. Keep in mind that Misa isn’t that bright and didn’t really understand how manipulative Light was.

But remember when she lost her memories about death note, she still was in love with light, so in love in fact that she was ready to help the taskforce without any second thought that she is going to catch the person that gave her justice. A sane person would just oppose this or be neutral and will not help or oppose. She is trying her well best to capture kira, who she was literally worshipping before just because she loved Light. Yeah... while I enjoyed Misa's character, this video makes her sound like she has more depth than she actually does. Hard to avoid that, since the video does need to tell us everything about the character in short order. Keep in mind, seems like she is supposed to be that way. I get that the character experience traumas, but the main thing is she just refuses to grow up, literally preferring that she would die before she gets "old".

Having rewatched the Death note multiple times, above all things I'd always kept being stunned by the fact that she was given the lifespan of 2 shinigamis, basically immortal creatures, making her virtually immortal too, having her lifespan shortened quadruply, but she still dies(?) willingly at the end of the series. I bet Ryuk never missed the chance to be the one who writes her name, if he's interested in that. What a tragic character of her.

I don't think Miss committed suicide. She made the Shimigami eyes deal twice. Meaning her lifespan is 1/4 of what it originally was. So if she was supposed to die at 80, she would die at 20. That's what happened. She died around that age. So I think it is a natural death, not suicide.

I hate her because she was such a plot device in the game between Light and L, Light already had the unbelievable advantage of a supernatural book that defies human scientific knowledge and common sense, he didn't need anymore advantage than that, but thanks to Misa, basically being Harley Quinn, not only does she needlessly give L the supernatural info, but she constantly screws up the subtlety of the game, forcing Light to focus on her rather than L. And L just gets wins because of stupidity rather than subtlety from Light. She's starts as a wild card, but becomes a nearly perfect pawn to finding L's name easily, basically letting Light cheat at this game rather than figuring it out by playing L. I get that Light would get followers, and the simplemindedness of those followers would exist, I have no doubts on the idea that Light would use people like that given the reputation that Kira would bring, but that's the key word here, FOLLOWERS, not just one big one that has the same abilities just because of plot coincidences. And we don't get FOLLOWERS until the second act, but you all know why it was too late at that point.

She made so many dumb moves and one that got her caught easily and light caught for a while. I think that’s why most people hated her. But Mikami seal light fate by doing the dumbest sht.
