Schools have been closing in rural Limpopo for the past 10 years with a new trend of some being merged in the last 5 years. We have a crisis that needs urgent attention! Why don't budget cuts include the millions government officials are getting paid as well as downsizing from their luxurious lifestyles?

This lady is touching on issues, I have been concerned about. I've raised some of them with the previous administration but they are protecting the wrong doing. I've seen teachers subotage learners to break learners for different reasons. Principals do as they like because they have support from Union and district directors. Money at an amount of two million disappears in a school without any accountability and people are not bothered to account for it. Sgb and the principal cannot account for this act😢

Watching this from overseas, I can only pray that the future of our children is saved. This country is in real trouble if Education is under threat. The Minister is facing challenges that have developed over the years, while some people continue to play cat and mouse, fooling the public. Do people realize that we’ve returned to a "Pass-one, Pass-all" system in schools? Go ask any teacher what happens when kids fail a class and who they are accountable to. You’ll be shocked at how the 33% pass rate directly links to the quality outcomes. It's unfortunate that today we talk about children not being able to read for comprehension. Go ask around-you’ll find out. Yet, we claim we want to compete on a global scale. COSATU needs to take a step back. We don’t have time for those who have allowed this nonsense to persist.
