@@darkgalaxy5548 OK I did not want to go into detail but capital gains tax is triggered when the property is sold or when the owner of the property dies in which case all the assets and liabilities would be subject to the deceased estate processes. So I'm l struggling to see how abandoned land or buildings can be taxed. It's actually causing lost revenues to the fiscus.
