Now that's a hell of a redundant industrial computer. Looked like it had space for a mini PCIx card for Wifi too. Wifi + Ethernet + SIM. This machine was *designed* to alert anyone and everyone that something turned off or locked up that shouldn't have. I'm thinking this, at one point in time, was a dedicated watchdog.

Yes there is space for a Wi-Fi card. It has every imaginal interface on it and is so well built. I am going to use it in the workshop to read PDF schematics and plug in any electronics that needs USB. Not going to risk connecting up USB to test equipment etc. on my main computer. I looked it up, it was apparently £1100 - £1300 back in the day. Thanks for watching.

Merry Christmas! Back in the day, I had an i3 with 4K of RAM running Kubuntu, it worked well. Looks like this will as well.

It's actually working really well. It has every imaginable interface on it and is so well built. It can be upgraded to a Core i7 but it doesn't feel like it needs it. It's quite fast as it is. Merry Christmas to you too.

Yes it was. Somewhere around £1100 - £1300 is what I found, so it was an absolute bargain. Merry Christmas to you and thanks for watching.

I can't believe he is only charging £20 when they originally cost £1100. I want one. A few questions: What is the model number? Is there a PDF manual for it online? Is there a header on the board for PS/2 ports? How many lanes is the PCIe slot, x1 or x16?

The seller is called Blinx Fashion on eBay but they are really a waste recycling company. The computer itself was part of a job lot of 2 for £40. Power adaptor was bought separately from them, again a job lot of 5 for £30. They recently had 3 Core i7 versions with 8GB RAM and included power adaptor. They sold for about £40 each. Still a fantastic bargain. The model number is a Nexcom NISE3600P2E. There is a very detailed over 100 pages user guide for it, a sales brochure and a quick setup guide, if you look to find them online. I also have the Windows drivers for it. The PCIe slot is x4

"Oh no! She turned it upside down and now all the electrons fell out!" Looks reeeeeeeeeally big and bulky but with mediocre specs. I wouldn't expect good performance from an i3 CPU. Check if it's 2C 4T, or 4C 4T. The latter should do better. Should work perfectly well as a control computer for some CNC machine or similar equipment. No fans or ventilation holes means no dust ingress, no moving parts means silent and reliable operation. CFast looks like Compact Flash, probably a good way of storing your OS on the machine. Not as fast as the real deal SATA, I'm sure.

It's ok, I collect all the electrons up every few days and store them. Then I can use them to power things when I need to. It's a 2C 4T, but it can be upgraded to a Core i7, but it doesn't feel like it needs it. It's actually quite responsive and has every imaginable interface on it and is so well made. I will likely use it as a workshop computer to read PDF schematics on and any other related workshop tasks. I don't want to risk connecting equipment and electronics up to USB ports on my main computer, so this one will do that nicely. I looked these up and they were around £1100 - £1300 back in the day, so £20 was an absolute bargain.

@@JazzyJane_uk that's way too cool! Indeed, a bench computer really comes in handy. Especially if it has a lot of RS232 ports too.
