Maybe I can solve your confusion. These 3 laser projectors are almost same, because it is all from the same manufacturer, just under the different brands. but Wemax A300 is original brand of the manufacturer, its parameter is real and its internal configuration is the best of the three. So that is why wemax A300 is better than others.

I don't know if this will help much but here are my experiences with gaming on the A300 projector, no ms measurements or anything, just from feel: Forza Horzion 4 (Xbox One X) - No real problems here, all cars handle differently anyway so it's just a matter of adapting to this "slightly different handling" if anything Titanfall 2 (Xbox One X) - You notice the delay and I was playing worse than before, it's not a deal breaker but in this type of game when you're online and every milisecond counts this definitely affects things Call of Duty Black Ops 4 (Xbox One X) - Same as Titanfall 2, however when my friend played it who is much better at COD than I am he was able to prestige quickly and he was able to compensate the lag by being, well, really good at the game Uncharted 4 (PS4) - No real problems for me here, everything is cinematic and less hardcore than an online game so a good time to be had. Nate always had a bit of delay to his jumps and the input lag from the A300 didn't make it that much worse. Gears 5 (Xbox One X) - Characters feel like they're that much slower to respond and a few times I was killed by the opponent because everything contributed to me not being able to respond in time. Over a few matches though I was able to get better and have a good time, but you can still feel it. Mario Kart (Switch) - Again with a racing game didn't have too much problem, just had to get used to timing my jump drifts. Four player multiplayer on a 100" screen is amazing. Super Mario Maker 2 (Switch) - 50/50, on the harder Kaizo based levels you're going to have a bad time. On the more leisurely levels it's pretty ok Street Fighter 5 (PS4) - WOAH! Just don't even try. This one is frustrating as hell and I was never able to get the hang of the delay. Looks fantastic, shame it's damn near unplayable both offline and online with the lag.

On an french website they measured 32ms input lag in 1080p... maybe the pixelshift adds a good amount of ms to it. Could you try that? Maybe even with recording a stopwatch on a mirrored monitor? If thats true, im gonna purchase it too :D

Али Магомедов I already answer to that question few times in the comments. Laser UST projectors are not that good for gaming. Input lag is about 92ms regardless of price point and model. I don't know any UST laser projector on the market that has input lag below 40ms.

Hi nexi tech, great video. You pretty much inspired me to get this projector. I am more interested in the Xiaomi Miijia 4k projector because of the price. How is the reliability on that projector? Like how often do you use it per a day? and do you still use it over the A300? I've been reading on the xda and avsforums and my biggest fear that it would take too long to startup or the screen would have lines. I would hate dealing with the customer service because it's shipped from China. I am about to pull the trigger very soon as I need to have a bigger screen in my livingroom. Thanks.

Well, let me tell you that our Milja 4k is ON every single day pretty much all day long as it's our TV replacement sense I brought my 100inch UST screen 5 months ago. My wife and me have a 13 month's old son and baby program(music videos and animated video clips) is playing on the projector from 8h in the morning till 21h every single day and when our son sleeps then my wife take over the projector and watch the "Friends" on the Netflix for the 100th time, up till around 00:00h. So I would say that projector is running at least 16 hours a day for the last 5 months and it doesn't show any signs of wearing down. BTW every month or so I blast the projector air wents with compressed air and you would not believe how much dust it collects inside sense it's running all the time basically. If my calculation are correct projector should live with this kind of abuse for at least 4-5 years which is pretty good actually. If it dies or sometning happens with the projector in the future I will let you know here in the comments, so far no problems :) PS. The Wemax A300 has that glowing power button on the front and my son clicks on that bottom all the time every single time when he see it so it's impossible for us to use the A300 so we stick with the Milja 4K for now :)

I am going to confirm that your review is very accurate. The projector is awesome! I've been showing my friends and they were complaining that it's super expensive but they need to realize that you're also getting 100"+ screen\Laser UST Projector. I used my PS4 Pro and Apple TV 4K so far and no complaints. The input lag is pretty dramatic from the reviewers because I was playing Call of Duty Modernwarfare, it's really not that bad if you just play for fun and not competitively. However, I need to purchase the 100" screen from Elitescreens Starbright CLR instead of XYScreens because I really don't want to deal with Chinese people. Other than the projector sounding like a turbine, so far so good. I just hope the hardware is kept reliable as some people were complaining in the forums. Thanks for advertising this and I really hope Xiaomi gives you something for this.

I can not recommend any UST laser projector for gaming. Especially if you are high FPS gamer. Input lag is 90ms-110ms.

Thanks! Well that's subjective. I read that some A300 has a higer coil whine where others not that much. I guess it that depends of version/revision of the power supply. My A300 had some coil whine when I sit close to the projector left side and If I move my head in specific angle you can hit that coil whine frequency. Now I don't know how many people will actually sit close like that and experiment with the head angle :)

Nothing I still have it but I have to move the screen because of the lack of space in my home and I had to protect the screen from my 1 year old son how runs in the living room and grabs pretty much everything every 10 seconds ,:) I had to move the screen to the storage. I use this 3D glases on both Wemax and Xiaomi UST laser projector - bit.ly/2J8WK2y No issues with the blacks and green I just watched Lego 2 movie in 3D using these glasses but I do found that on some scenes some white objects in background like a white house was looking more pink then white, no idea why. I will try out other 3D movies when I got the time.

How do you deal with 24p contents? The motion judder can be quite jarring and obvious especially for fast moving scenes. Moreover, most content in KZbin, Netflix and other streaming media are often in 24p.

That depends my friend. If you live in county with 50hz electricity you can give projector 24hz input over Blu-ray player and motion is pretty good. If you live in country with 60hz electricity like US then I gues that can be a bit annoying if you have a keen eye.

Oh, My bad! Wrong projector, I thought that you ask about VAVA projector. On VAVA 4k you can switch from 50hz to 60hz in the settings if you want. Yes, you are right, the Wemax is locked on 60fps. Sorry I'm using KZbin studio app on my phone and I just see bunch of comments in the list with tiny thumbnail image and I reply directly.

Not at all, picture is smooth in all movies that I ever watched both on my Milja 4k and now on A300. I just check the files info on my resend 4K action movies that I have watched. File sizes average 56Gb Frame rate 23,98fps Data rate 60256kbs File MKV Is there any specific movie scenes that you want me to test it?

Well to be honest I really did not noticed any noticeable judder on 24fps movies on both Milja 4k or Wemax A300 and I have whole collection of movies. Movies really look amazing on both projectors. If you are worry about it I can record some movie scenes that you like with my Sony A6500 4K camera so that you can check it for yourself. I could not post more movie scenes due to copyright risk. Well if physical power-button, new resigned case, extend flash memory, 8 point keystone.. etc are not of main consider you can easily go with Milja 4k as it's cheaper and you get more value for the money at this moment.

Thanks mate! Yes there are expensive but, look it at this way. If you compare price of 100/120 inch 4K TV which cost a fortune if you can even found it, then a 4K laser projector with a screen size up to 150'' and with life span of 20,000h + hours(easy over a decade of use) start to have a lot of sense. Unfortunately there are no UST laser projectors for under $1000 but, you can get Xiaomi UST laser projector(1080p) for $1300 which is great deal actually. Well Xiaomi 4k is more budget friendly and they are very similar in terms of picture quality and brightness output but if you are planing to play games from Xbox or PS4 it's might better to choose Wemax a300, according to the some professional testers input lag was lower on Wemax A300 but only on the chinese version while international version had high input lag.

I owned the first laser projector of Xiaomi and it was stunning good, so it will be minimum as good as that one. I think there are not really big differences. It also depends on your glasses and the quality of the movie file. i used Hi-SHOCK® DLP Pro “Lime Heaven”. And i was really shockes as i started to view sample 3d movies on youtube. Ofcourse those 3d effects wont be in movies but still incredible. In my opinion its way better than Cinema 3d.

I notice one spot at first but the following week there’s like 8 plus spots in and around the screen.. do you have this issue? Hope you can help us find solutions as many of us who bought this projector have the same problems

Thank for your time put to review these projectors. Quick question. On 6:30 you mention about difference of lux measurement between the Xiaomi 4k and the Wemax A300 and found them to be 1610 lux 1824 lux respectively. However on your other video when you measured Xiaomi 4k versus the 1080p model you found the Xiaomi 4k to be 2058 lux. Is this discrepancy(1610 lux versus 2058 lux) because of the new ALR screen. I think you did not have it when you first produced the Xiaomi 4k review video and you took measurements of off your wall. If you can just verify it would be great!!!Thank you for your time!! take care!!

Yes, exactly my friend. You figure it out :) Milja 4k had better results before because of the light reflection from the white wall. Now with the new UST,ALR,CLR(is there more names :D)projecting screen there is no light reflection from the wall and the brightness output/Lux meter results are lower but the picture quality is way better :)

Please make a Video with detailed Information about the needed distance from the wall for Differenz Screen sizes. Also exactly show from where it's mesured. From wall to the case or from wall to the laser Output? Official material says it would be 24cm from the wall for 100" how much would it Need for 108" and mesured from laser Output to the wall or from case ending to the wall? This is extremely important for me to know if my screensize is possible on my tv bank.

Hitman006xp Go find and look in the manual, it is specified there. Measurements are from the back of the projector. I think it would be around 11.3” in your case.

Marlon Mcpherson Get the screen mate difference is huge! It's worth of investment as the screen can in theory last forever it will last you for many projectors. Maybe in 5/10 years we will have affordable 8K UST laser projectors with some crazy brightness output :)

Hi Nexi tec, Please help me . When I start my xiaomi A300 , I don’t have the Main menu anymore . I have an other menu. I must press left control on my remote to find the main menu . did you try play on it ? Some games like Gear of War or Doom ? I saw that this Projector have 115ms input lag and the same problem for Vava and some people told that this Projector are impossible to use for Gaming... At other way I saw one guy on KZbin who play Geas 5 on VaVa and very Happy with it. Can you confirm Gaming possibility on this projectors and give you opinion about that ? I use 86 inch 4K HDR TV and I'm planning to switch on 150 inch Wemax or Vava

Jan Odenbach already answer to that question few times in the comments. Laser UST projectors are not that good for gaming. Input lag is about 92ms-110ms regardless of price point and model. I don't know any UST laser projector on the market that has input lag below 40ms.

Which one is more quiet? I saw from the other comment that Wemax has little coil whine too.

Both are pretty much the same. In dead silent room(when all you hear is your wall clock clicking) and when you come very close to the left side of A300 and you place you ear next to the left exhaust grill and move your head in specific angle you can ''catch'' some coil whine, but am not sure how many people will do something like that and honestly i believe that nobody will use this projectors in dead silent room on mute by siting right next to the projector left side while keeping their head on that specific angle. :) For example Me and my wife we have one year old baby and the baby TV program is pretty much all day long playing on the projector every single day sense I got Xiaomi 4K model and now on Wemax A300 and nobody ever heard or be bothered with any coil whine noise including my 1 year young baby boy. P.S. To be honest I have also read on some forums that few owners of Milja and Wemax projectors had received projectors with very high coil whine and as far as I know they send back their projectors and get replacement units so I believe those are isolated cases.

Nothing I still have it, for lack of space in my home and to protect the screen from my 1 year old son how runs around the living room and grabs pretty much everything every 10 seconds ,:) I had to move the screen to the storage. When we move to the bigger place soon I hope, I'm going to make some nice custom TV stand for the screen and for the projector and I will probably make a video about it.

I won the fight with my wife to get an own room just for Entertainment, so im already checking for a perfect furniture (i will buy the vividstorm screen) to place the projector in it. its really ugly to just place it on the furniture haha. This upgrade is pointless from the previous 4k Mija, you just get power button and just a tiny bit brighter. No, it's no "9000 lumens", more like 1800 ANSI. Optoma P1 is now released and I will be getting that instead of Mija/Wemax.

Looking for a 4k lazer projector that casts a 65 to 68 inch image. Almost all options i have seem so far give a range of something higher that this. For example 80 - 120. Im not sure there marketing specs mean that. 65 inch is not obtainable or if that just how they advertise. Can you recommend any options of ultra short throw 4k lazer projects that can make a slightly smaller image around 65 to 68 inches?

get any UST projector and keep it as close to wall as possible, you will get smaller image, idk how small but the farther the projetor from wall the bigger the image gets , so try this. good luck
