Another excellent video! Thank you, Vincent. But I still have a question about this projector: It's advertised as a 4K projector yet it has a 1080p native resolution DLP chip set. Does that mean 4K sources are resampled down to 1080p or is there pixel shift magic going on that allows the full 4K resolution to make it to the screen? I'm currently using an LG PF1000U UST which is 1080p and have been considering "upgrading" to this Xiaomi Mi laser projector. Anyone?

Hi Vincent, very nice review, I am thinking of buying this projector for a while now. But there are some things I can't find a clear answer to. Hope you can answer them for me. Does this projector support rear projection? (I realise that it might be due to the lasers that it is not supported, but I am not sure.) I need it to support rear projection because it needs to project on the inside out on glass (transparent projection foil) . And can the general screen size be adjusted? If not what is the minimum projection size? Thank you!

UST projectors are more and more promising... I hope you'll have the opportunity to test the very last Hisense L9 Trichroma Laser UST projector. Its performance in covering nearly the whole Rec. 2020 color gamut and even Rec. 2100 to some extent, seems impressive. Hence the price... Great video as always! 👍🏻

Nice to see someone use a real meter on one of these. Are your calibrated settings taken using the Klein off your "D65" wall (!), or do you have a D65 screen you use for the settings, or are they from the lens? It looks like you're measuring off a screen of some sort in the video.

I saw quite a few people mentioned it has auto focus but I have to do manual focus on mine (US version). Also I'm not given as many image settings options here. I can only adjust brightness and colors on the custom mode. Not sure if I'm missing anything. Thanks

Vincent. Fantastic Review. You went into detail that I have not seen on the Xiaomi before. I have the Sharp XV-Z20000 and I absolutely LOVE the video and color in this projector. Im seriously considering selling this to get this projector. Any comments on why I might want to KEEP my Sharp? Mine has I believe a DLP2 Dark Chip, with native 1080p chip.

Hi Guy ! Thank you for your video ! I bought one of this and loved. But, I have 2 questions, maybe you can please, help me ! 1° - I think that the ventilator fan does so much noise.... :( Do you know if we can change the velocity, or it is automatical ? Because even in a cold room, this fan do a boring noise... 2° - I'm watching in 100", but sometimes I would like to give a "zoom out" to the image, and watch somethings with 50" or others measures ... I searched at the entire menu, but didn't find. Do you know if this projector does this ? Since now, thank you very much !!!!

I´ve loved your review! I have a question; I´m about to purchase a 82" Samsung 4K TV; It is about the same price range, but for the screen size, I´m interested in this projector. I live in Mexico City and love the NFL and the UEFA Champions League, so most of those sports are in the day. I have a large ceilling to floor window with non blackout shades, but they work nicely to cover the sun at it's max at 12 PM; Will this work, what do you think?

I would definitely be interested if it had smart TV features such as Android or built in apps like YT and Netflix. I assume its HD and not UHD, but as i live in East Asia there maybe retailers here demoing it which i would like to see. The problem here is Large screen Smart Tv's are still very cheap compared to the price of projectors, the opposite way round to when i was living in the UK. Good video excellent review. Subscribed.

I want one of these so bad. I only came across these a couple of days after paying for a benq short throw. It's a good projector but omfg this laser projector looks amazing. Will now need to wait a while and hopefully get one of these. I would be in a pine box quick smart if I paid for one now as my partner would lose the plot. Lol. At 11:02 Vincent says that "in a pitch black room once calibrated black level was on par with an Epson TW9300". Can this be true? This DLP has one of the best black levels in the market? I am finding this extremely hard to believe. How is it possible that a DLP projector can manage this kind of black level?

Hello, I have a xiaomi 4k projector and I bought their original 100" screen in the store but I don't like how it works so far. I have a problem with the reflection on the ceiling when I watch a movie, I see that you don't have it when the movie is playing (how to solve that) and another problem with setting the image on the screen, keystone sets the images however when I play the film the light shines where I originally put the light to cast regardless of the fact that I set everything do you know maybe where I'm going wrong

when you say 50cm from wall, do you mean 50m wall to laser, or 50cm to the start of the projector and another 20cm to the laser?

I want a projector that looks accaptable on the wall when the lights are on, projector screens are way to expensive so are 4k laser projectors, also you will be dealing with lag, so in my opinion you're better, cheaper off with a high end 65 inch tv from 2016 unless you want to build your own cinema.

All the settings were removed on the MJJGYY02FM version, no menu. You can't calibrate a damn thing, why. Also can't turn on HDR function, it says it is supported but, KZbin doesn't pick it up, neither other apps. Big letters HDR FullHD, and not really HDR.
