That looks amazing! The colors are so vivid! What a huge difference between just the wall and that screen! And then you realize you're watching this on your own 140 inch screen with just an Optoma HD142X 1080p home theater projector. 140 inch screen from Amazon- $150 Optoma HD142X Home Theater Projector from Best Buy- $560 Keep in mind that everything on TV and 95% of the internet is only 1080p or even 720p unless it says 4K

@@sirmi9868 but plasma is dead technology now and bigs tv were generally expensive back then, plasma has amazing picture quality but consumes a ton of power, for the price of this setup you can get nowadays 82" 4K Samsung QLED a that will have much better picture quality than this projector setup, not mention watching in the daytime without faded picture.

IMO a big part of having a projector is to have an acoustically transparent screen. Having the center speaker behind the screen recreates the theater in your house.

Will it work upside down? I mean mount it on ceiling and roll it down. The logic behind is that people should not trip on it and damage it or injure themselves. The screen is impressive, thumbs up for it.

@TTBear2
@TTBear2 4 жыл бұрын
@@brois841 Hmmmm. The screen surface is amazing. The lenticular technology works really, really well. Unfortunately, the Vividstorm mechanism is lacking in terms of quality - lots of issues, replacement screens (yes, plural). The screen material is identical to the Elite Screens Starbright CLR material (I ordered a sample to compare). I will wait for the Elite Screens floor riser - hopefully, the chassis is better made, although Vividstorm did say that they make screens FOR Elite Screens..... I paired it with one of the new LG HU85LA projectors. After set up, the picture really is stunning. Unfortunately, because of a manufacturing defect in the Vividstorm screen, the upper support beam twisted, so the screen surface wasn't totally flat, making image adjusting very difficult. Link to a few screen shots, before any real tweaking: s1117.photobucket.com/user/TTBear2/media/IMG_5426_1.jpg.html s1117.photobucket.com/user/TTBear2/media/IMG_5427.jpg.html s1117.photobucket.com/user/TTBear2/media/IMG_5423.jpg.html This is with some ambient light. Nexi Tech, 2 Question: 4K Laser Projector versus 4K OLED Television. 1) Is the 4K projector image less harsh on your eyes when viewing than a 4K OLED TV? 2) Do you have a preference for which rooms you would use a 4K projector compared to an OLED TV (e.g., projector in living room and OLED TV in bedroom)?
@banny123456
@banny123456 5 жыл бұрын
go for projector only if you have updated room for projection, a small white room (like that shown in video) is huge mistake, the light will bounce from white walls and ceiling back on the projector screen and making contrast a joke. Go for QLED, no OLED, something from Samsung, Sony or LG they have amazing picture quality and for 2-3k$ you will get also a big screen. Personally, I will go for Samsung Q70 or Q80 series. The projector is fewer hars for your eyes.

Hi Jos, i read elsewhere the usb is for a projector that has a usb port. if you plug it in the screen will be triggered when the projector is turned on..

Anyone use this outdoor? Would be awesome if I can move this to the backyard for parties! I guess I'm worried about the wind tipping it over.

I would put a flat TV on the wall to run all day and when you want to watch something special just roll up the screen.

I had a 90 inch portable screen 10 years ago and that is exactly what I did. I only used the projector for movies and the Super Bowl

So I have nearly the same cabinet where my Fengmi 4k is setup on, will the screen then come high enough if the cabinet is in front of the Projector screen?? And does this give as good quality screen image as a fixed screen??

I bought myself this projector, of course it's cool to look at a very large screen ... but alas, the juiciness of the picture, brightness and clarity will never be like on a high-quality screen;)

I find it very funny too. He pronounced like: zaiomi I am Brazilian, but I've seen people all around the world pronouncing like: kziaomi, chiaomi, etc... I personally pronounce it with the "S" sound, because that's how I learned. Like "siaomi".
