I feel you. I used to play AUG/SG553 from 2016 to 2018 (Stopped playing). I used to get hated by the team for not using the common meta weapons, and I'm kind of annoyed to watch vids or friends using it now while people cries at em like that. People have finally realized it's greatness and as someone who used to main AUGs and SGs when I still played CS:GO, I'm very darn happy to see people finally realizing it is good. I was sure it is, because I was getting kills, and I'm too garbage to do that without advantages. Sadly I can already realize the M4A4's gonna be pretty much forgotten with the M4A1-S buff and with people having in mind u can have both the M4A1-S and a slightly better M4A4 for 200$ more.

SG is statistically better, just has a completely different spray pattern so it doesn't feel intuitive. If you are someone who has used the SG as much as the AK, the SG is going to be the better weapon. More accurate, more versatility with scope, higher fire rate. The AUG and M4 are a lot closer though, I'd say M4 better close range and vs unarmoured targets, AUG better long range with the scope, higher accuracy and lower range drop off. Even then, at v close range AUG can one shot a helmet where an M4 can't. Also with the CT playstyle usually being more passive I'd say AUG is going to be better in most instances.

How about after every consecutive win, the loss counter goes down by +1 each time, that way if you win and then lose right after, it doesn't take 2 away, which would be bad. It would only start taking +2 away if you won 2 times in a row. If you won 3 times in a row, it takes +3 more away etc as the game gets balanced out. EX: 1st win: -1(total), 2nd win: -3(total), 3rd win: -6(total)

I doubt it, and it surely isn't a major advantage if there is one. (I feel) the AK47 and the SG practiaclly perform fairly similarily, while the AUG and the M4s have slightly more distinction. I'd also argue that the CT side has a way bigger benefit of the scope functionality of those weapons than the T side does, which is likely why the AUG has seen so much time in the spotlight this last major, but the SG has not (according to this, less than the MP9 even: luckbox.com/esports-news/content/images/2019/02/Charts2.jpg ) This massive difference in usage between the two at the competetive level is likely why the SG price remains low.

The AUG case reminds me of the cz-75 vs the tec-9 (and five-seven). Everybody kept buying the Cz, but when it got nerfed people found out that the tec and 5-7 are, actually great guns, even better for some. I used to buy shotguns even in buy rounds, like in old cbble CT side, I would go drop with it, and if I got a kill I was guaranteed a rifle.

When I first started playing CS:GO, I wanted to use the AUG. Then Valve dropped its price, and I rejoiced! Now it's back where it was, and I still just happily use it. Only difference is, now I use the SG on the other side, instead of bothering with the AK - why bother saving $50 at the cost of your scope? The M4A1-S is a great weapon, but it annoys me that right-clicking (a common pre-encounter action for me, with my love of AUG/SG) starts my dude removing the suppressor, a basically useless action. Other than that, I would recommend the suppressed one in place of the classic M4A4, every time.

I didn't play the first 4 years of csgo. I was very upset with the game at the time. I thought it was way too different but it eventually grew on me.

To be fair, if you're down 1-6 and then the other team comes back and ties it 6-6 you're team then reaps the benefits of the loss counter income. It's not like this only works one way. This could also prevent the 14-6 comebacks that everyone loves to pull off because once you build up the momentum you allow the other team that's ahead to buy more
