Thanks so much for more LOVEBITES! Yes, a "bell" but not cowbell, a Zildjian 9.5" FX ZIL-Bel mounted inverted over a Sabian 20" AAX Heavy Ride. Haruna uses that bell in the most fascinating ways/times along with all her other quick-decay splash & 'china' cymbals, 'pitched' to support guitar-chords & vocal melody at times. Her 'tasteful' accents with precision dbl-kicks & phenomenal stamina is unsurpassed in my musical experience beginning Ginger Baker LIVE 3 times, Bonham, Bunker, Appice in 1968. Haruna is Precious & BRUTAL simultaneously!! The Lovebites musicians have completely sold out both live concerts (2 x 2000 visitors) on March 11 and 12, 2023 through advance bookings alone. No tickets will be released to the general public. What a terrific comeback !!! Unfortunately, probably no larger halls in Tokyo were free in time. But it may also be that the girls are too modest. The five girls would certainly have sold out 2x 4000 seats. The people love them.🤘LOVEbites 🤘

This band has no Peer! Haruna the Drummer (Little Big Engine) is indefatigable, she burned it up all night long...with the rest of them. They are all in super good condition, that is how they maintain the physical stamina required. This was the opening number of the concert. The first of 19 songs performed that night. If I ever see them live, I will have to fill out my last will and testament, because I'm old and likely not survive.👀😂 After I watch the concert on Blu-ray, I am so tired I have to take a nap. 😂 Welcome to LOVEBITES, there is nothing in the world like them.

Great reaction! One of my favorite songs from them, but that's hard to say, because they are all so amazing. This song just comes at you relentlessly, and is the perfect show opener. Midori solo? Awesome. Haruna drum solo? Awesome. Miho full body head banging? Amazing. Cow bell? Amazing. I mean, you're already finished as a listener by the time you get to Miyako's solo, and she just puts you away. Let's not forget Asami powering through the whole thing - and - that curtain drop. I always come back to this song.They're my favorite band in the world, and I think I can say with a straight face that they are also the best metal band in the world, and the best in a long, long time. More please! I'm already subscribed, but I will be here for literally every Lovebites song you do, and they are all amazing. Break the Wall, live from Zepp, may be a bit like this one in some ways. Maybe try that next? Set the World on Fire has a ridiculous solo and the chorus is fire. Swan Song (with the Chopin intro) and Frozen Serenade are masterpieces and have a surprise you may not know. All of the "E" songs are amazing for a different pace. I'm partial to Empty Daydream and Edge of the World both. So good. I look forward to you checking out some more!

Love your reactions, in general, and Lovebites reaction in particular. It is so hard to recommend songs, because there are so many great pieces, but, to have an overall image of possibilities, I think you should react to the following (no particular order): Break the Wall, Swan Song (with the Chopin intro), Frozen Serenade, Empty Daydream, Epilogue, Edge of the Word (the three ”E”-songs), Winds of Transylvania (both MV and live versions), and, of course, the latest and greatest (featuring the new bassist Fami), Judgement Day.

Ha, thank you for referencing Dream Theater's vibe and level of playing many others use mediocre bands like dragon force and slayer to these amazing ladies and those crappy bands don't stand a chance against Lovebites. These wonderful ladies can play this way for 2 hours straight a total of 19 songs and never break a sweat. They have 52 songs and 3 covers and you've done 2 it's time to catch up buddy. These amazing ladies have several genres and styles of rock and metal in their discography so any song you pick will be a banger and face melter. I believe it's called an Ice Bell, not a cowbell. Now it depends on what you are feeling they have some amazing ballads Epilogue, Frozen Serenade, Empty Daydream, and some amazing prog-metal songs Edge of the World, Dystopia Symphony, how about some thrash metal Break the Wall, Set The World on Fire

Haruna (Dr) started learning to play the drums at the age of 13. He became obsessed with metal after seeing a heavy metal bant at a local live music club. Until then, he had never heard a 2-bass drummer play and was shocked. At the time, he was too small in height to play a 2-bass drum, so he bought a twin pedal. 5+ minute fast two-bass and various effect cymbals are Haruna's specialty. Haruna wants people to think he is a man playing those drums. At the time, Haruna told the interviewer that "The Crusade" is the most intense song on the album, so he always gets into it before playing it so that he can keep the beat until the end. Haruna's favorite band is "Helloween". LOVEBITES covered "Eagle Fly Free" in a studio live performance during the period when they could not play live with an audience due to Covid19. The pentagram on the Haruna drum is not a Western pentagram. The pentagram is surrounded by a wolf representing the five girls. In Japan, the five elements of yin and yang, which became the basic concept of Yin-Yang Tao, or the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water, expressed their conflicting functions, and the pentagram was valued as a talisman to ward off all kinds of evil. Thus, the pentagram represents the protection of these women.

Great reaction. That is not a cowbell, it is an ice bell. Haruna the drummer uses the bell regularly, and used a cowbell only once as far as I know in Journey to the Other Side. Lovebites is far from Dream Theater with their sound and the air. They are "Next Metal", They may be next Iron Maiden or Judas Priest. You may call their sound the advanced 21st. century authentic metal. They have opened a new horizon and next level to metal. You'll know what I mean listening their recent piece dropped a few weeks ago. As someone else said, that's not a cow bel, just a zil bell or what I've also heard called an ice bell (not sure of the reasoning behind either name). A cow bell typically isn't as bright and would have more of a hollow _conk_ sound as opposed to the zil's _ting_ sound. Haruma's cymbal work is always fascinating.

For some reason I never see comments like that when the musicians are male. It seems like people lower the bar by default as soon as the band members are female.
