How is using a mobile phone more distracting that the modern nightclub illumination set up that is being pushed into drivers faces?

I'm skeptical of the recent "hey, big/oddly shaped displays. This is the future" trend in the auto industry. But it looks kinda cool.

This is why their "classics" are appreciating like crazy. How about making a decent car? This rubbish they put out does not attract anyone and in a couple of years this will be a huge issue.

Well i see the next aproach of bmw comming to put a price tag on features that are already build in when you bought the car. And look at all these touch controls.... i hate them and that not because i know why they keep pushing it to the products (less production costs) not they are just not good to operate while driving.
