I'm thinking about building one myself.I still haven't decided what kv my motor would be (I would run it on 3S).I'm between the two hobbywing 3660 options.One is 3200kv and the other 4000kv.What do you suggest is better a)3200kv motor with taller pinion or b)4000kv with shorter pinion

Well, with 3S, the smaller kV is going to be a better option to save the power system from overheating. Just keep the gearing moderate and you should be fine.

I have an Arrma Vorteks with a 3200kv brushless motor and 3S electronics. I haven't been able to find anyone that can tell me whether that can would fit in the SCT410? The Vorteks unfortunately doesn't handle very well with all that power and breaks super easily. I'm wondering if I could transplant the electronics into this kit without having to do crazy modifications!

Most larger cans are all the same length. The SCT410 2.0 should be able to accept any motor up to a 550 size. There's plenty of room and, in fact, lots MORE room on the pad to move the ESC around if a little extra room is needed.

It should fit those electronics without issue. The motor will definitely work. The ESC may line up with the mounting holes on the chassis ESC plate, if not, you could use double sided foam and a cable tie to secure it.
