TONYonPC my experience with the panther f was so bad, hatted it, because since they removed the maid and the panther 2, I d not have tanks to fill those spots (I have the leopard 1 in my lineup) my panther f doesn’t have the penetration to deal with the tanks I will face, and even if I get the German Patton, it’s just a waste of time, the sabot is not worth the time in my opinion

5.7 BR is just a joke. Every game you will have atleast one 6.7 BR tank in enemy team, and nearly never there will be lower than 5.7. Gaijin, pls fix.

@@mr.vuchuchel3619 In that case mate my only recommendation would be to learn how the Br's work. If you play at 5.7 or 6.7 you inevitably get up Br's all the time. The American 5.3 and 6.3 line-ups are much more reasonable, sure you get up tiered but only by .4 which is perfectly manageable.

Just say it! Facing post-war tanks with a WWII tank is unfair, and sucks. That's why i don't even spawn if i see too many post -war crap with my World-war setup, so until we get a WW mode I stay on about 6.3 max (and an armor/shell physic overhaul required) .

Sure, but I think the (prototype's) hull was mostly competed before the war ended. Still I think the germans has some disadvantage with the most WW2 high rank tanks (like in WOT), specially now that the French tanks are here (witch had a lot of german based parts/ideas) .

Actually I'm not a German tanker, and I can do a lot with them around 6.7, (I prefer French and Italian in tank design) but I signed up for a WW2 game at the start, and I also found 8.0 jets useless since 95% of the matches I end up at 9.0 there planes like the IL-28 is a free kill.

Panther 2 would of been a awesome tank in ww2, imagine this thing in real life. Up against t-34/85's, Shermans and Churchills. I know panthers with the infra-red kits were used, but not with a 88mm gun, better engine, speed, rotation, armour and shells like this Panther 2 has. It would of practically been a MBT for Nazi Germany, and a awesome one at that. Oh and people complaining that the panther is up against post war stuff, the panther was used by the French up until the late 50's, stug III was used by Spain until the early 60's, late 70's by Finland, and the Syrians used them along with Panzer IV, Jagpanzer IV in the six day war (1967) they held their own against Israeli Shermans, but were wrecked by centurions. The Swiss used a variant of the Jagpanzer 38(t) until the early 80's and the Czechs used tons of captured German veichles, most were out of service by the 60's, it's where Syria got a lot of its panzer IV's (they also got German stuff from France, Spain, Romania and Yugoslavia, which is where Syria got STG-44's, which are being used by terrorists in the current civil war, as the SAA had them still in storage, along with tons of ammo and mags.) The panther was arguably a better tank than the panzer IV, stug III, Jagpanzer 38(t) and Jagpanzer IV, and if these tanks served for so long, it's not hard to see the panther doing well after ww2 too, especially the panther II (which I know wasn't produced) It would of been interesting to see how the panther would of done against the Israeli centurions, I know the panther isn't as good as a centurion, but it would of been a tougher opponent than a panzer IV. Other German kit stayed in service a lot longer, the Germans used the kubelwagens until the 80's, the Yugoslavs and East Germans used the STG-44 until the 70's, the Germans used the p38 (as p1) until the 2000's (I think the reserves may still use it) Norway used the MP40 until the 1990's Portugal used the MP-34 until the 70's (apparently the troops were sad to see it go, but there were no spare parts available) and of course the venerable German Stahlhelm served Spain until the 1980's (I have a German made Spanish M42/71 Stahlhem) other countries used it in the Cold War, and chile still uses it today, and of course the PASGT helmet was based on it. The Czechs copied the Sdkfz 251 (the Hanomag) and added a roof, the OT-810 (the troops called it 'Hitler's revenge' as the roof cramped even shorter soldiers necks, and it bruised a lot of heads.) and I could keep going on, German stuff was good kit, even post war. So yeah in the 50's-60's German ww2 kit was far from obsolete. Hell loads of ww2 Russian kit is still used all over the world. I reckon the panther could of at least had a chance against centurions, M46's, t-54's and stuff like that. I know it isn't superior, but it is superior to the t-34, which went up against the centurion, m46, etc. It would of been cool to see west Germany modernising ww2 designs instead of adopting American armour, helmets and weapons (before the G1 & G3) the G3 was the evolution of the STG-44 - STG-45M, the P38 evolved into the P1 & P1K, the Stahlhelm to the PASGT, the Kar98K into many sniper rifles, the G-43 gas system is the most commonly copied gas system in modern assault rifles, so it would of been really cool to see a Cold War evolution of tanks like the Panther, Tiger II, Hummel, Puma and others, especially the panther (which is my favourite ww2 tank) it's a shame west Germany adopted M48's then M60's, they never had a home grown MBT until the Leopard 1, which was more influenced by western designs, however you can still see some of its German roots.

S. C Always get the first shot. That push Phly did on the T32 was really risky, since any decent player could take out a Panther 2 at this range really. Basically, unless you're in a Maus or a T95, you really should never rely on bouncing shots, but instead should always maneuver your tank in a way that you get the first shot. A critical hit such as breech or barrel disable turns whatever you're engaging completely harmless, but then again this could happen to you, so always get the first shot. Patience is key really. I've learned that rushing in this game is just asking to get killed. You'll notice most players who pull off 7-8+ tank kills in the round are those that stall their push and move slowly through enemy lines, while those who rush crazy towards cap points or flank really early in the round are those that die in the first two minutes

@@dr.dibble1868 I mean I see where you're coming from but that's not why everyone is salty. The tanks that are being removed are not by any means over powered but Gaijin screwed up BR compression. So the removal of these tanks won't help anything plus things like the RU 251 was a prototype so legit there are a lot of tanks that were only paper but are still in the game especially things like the object 120 which because its premium gaijin won't fix.

The tanks being removed except the Maus were never built, so all their performance is just made up from statistics rather than relying on real life research. Obj. 120 was built and tested as well as Ru-251. I can certainly see why people are upset, these tanks have been staples of the tree for so long, but they're from War Thunder's past when paper vehicles were fine, just like R2Y2.

Phly you can see where the shot came from by looking at your tank, there should be a hole in the armor and when you find it its pretty easy to see where the shot came from.

I have watched Phly's videos for years and over a myriad of games and he does a really good job of adapting his information and overall tactics for AND against whatever he takes. Whether it be War Thunder or World of Warships etc etc. without editing out fails. On a lot he will even call them out or put text showing what is happening. Lol like "yup this was a bad idea" or "those 18" guns are pointing at me rip" lol or the dead silence of "yeah that happened."

No no no....No that is not a "Panther II",Wot and WT both are just modeling a fantasy vision of the Panther II as a hybrid of the Ausf F & E-50. The Panther II had a very different turret planned and it was to be armed with the 75L70.

Doyle in their various written works on the Panther,well to keep this simple: The Panther II was planned to mount the same KwK 42 75L70 in a modified Panther,turret, a schmale Blendenausfuehrung turret . The Schmalturm turret was built for the Panther Auf F, to mount a modified 75L70 Walter J. Spielberger wrongly assumed in his work 'Panther & Its Variants' that the Panther II was intended to have Schmalturm turret along with other items...that were instead intended for the Ausf F or the E-50 project. Thomas L. Jentz would correct Spielberger in his books 'Germanys Panther Tank: The Quest for Combat Supremacy' & 'Panzer Tracts No. 5-4 - Panzerkampwagen Panther II and Panther Ausf.F' Walter J. Spielberger accepted he was in error and corrected later editions of his books..but the damage had already been done. So now far too many believe the Panther II was similar to the concept of the E-50....

Nah, it has the 80mm front armor like the G and H, which is better than the F2's 50mm, but a lot of tracks on the front that give you even more protection. The obvious bad side is the hand cranked turret that's very slow to turn. The Pz IV that's has a very high BR is the H, it's even higher than G and J.

I love the panther II... sure it is not the best tank in the game and you might get in bad situations from time to time, but if you play it right it is a good tank. AND HELL YES to those introductions where to shoot your enemies!

Ttested it out on Tank Polygon. Shoot the high tier T variants (54's etc) on the driver hatch even with 76mm M62 and boom. Shrapnel goes directly to ammo and fuel tank blowing up the tank itself.

At 8:53 when going against the t32 it was kinda like the fury tiger tank battle except it's a panther as a Sherman and a t32 as a tiger

Thing that i like most about you phly is your refusal to spawncamp and kill the people stuck in spawn, I just hate it when you get killed in spawn especially 2 seconds after you spawn and you already get nailed in a side shot

Great armor, bad guns lineup: FCM.36, R.39, C.R.714, and the h.75. Try to deflect at least 10 rounds with your amazing sloped armor with the tanks, and try to evade targets for at least 30 seconds before destroying them in the aircraft. Good luck Phly! Attempt#1

I'd like to see more edumacational stuff. I just recently started RB-ing, every bit helps. Maybe in general have an educational series where you explain thought process while playing, why you push a tank (or why you think you can push a tank now), etc? I know you sometimes do it in the videos, it's just i think that a dedicated series would help players. Not just in tanks btw, but in planes even more so. Why you engage how you engage, these kinda things.

Phly that turtle has a weak spot at the upper spot on the left side ( his left ) right where the MG is it's only 152mm thick if you shoot there it will kill the turtle notice the armor there is not sloped , i'm amazed that you've played this long and didn't know that
