Hi Ashley! Fellow Canadian girl here 😊 I just started using this product a few days ago, my skin loves it so far. I bought 2 bottles, thinking it might sell out because of the price point. I just subscribed, so I will be watching for your follow-up review. Just for reference sake, I’m 53 (well into my fine lines era 😂) and I’m using this along side the Argireline serum. Great video and much happiness in 2025 💕

Hi! I am a longtime follower and have a few questions. Growth factors have been out for some time, as you mention, so as an anti-aging enthusiast, why did you not add them to your routine before now? I also understand some dermatologists recommend not to use them as they can help grow skin cancers as well. They don’t cause them, but can grow them faster, especially those prone to them. I am focused on anti-aging skin care, and with skin cancer in my family, have always hesitated to add this. So with my respect for you so high, I just wanted to know why now and not before? And what are your thoughts on the down sides?
@SincerelyMissAsh5 күн бұрын
Hey there and thank you for being a longtime follower💗🥰 The reason for not adding a separate Growth Factors serum into my routine sooner is due to the cost. Brands like SkinMedica, ZO, SkinBetter, Osmosis, Neocutis etc are brands that offer Growth Factors but in order to see results one would need to be consistent with a product to see results and I couldn't justify spending $200+ every few months to find out. The Ordinary one is more affordable and contains plant based growth factors. It may not work as well as the brands mentioned above but it's more affordable to be consistent. I recently did talk about InnBeauty Project Elastic Skin which contains a vegan Growth Factor. You can find that video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4m9n4Btjt6WfqMsi=5d9Ixig5Hfn42w3w I also use the Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream that also contains Growth Factors. To be honest, I don't know too much about Growth Factors potentially causing cancer cells to grow. I would think that if this is true it would be caused by Human Derived Growth Factors instead of Plant Derived Growth Factors. Of course, I am not a doctor or dermatologist but I would believe Plant Derived Growth Factors are safer to use.

I am skeptical due to how cheap it is. I read that any growth factors under $100 probably aren’t very affective since making them stable to get into the skin costs more money. Also, plant derived are not as beneficial as human/animal derived GF since we aren’t plants. Our skin responds better to human/animal GF. I am obsessed with Neogenesis and Anteage.

@SincerelyMissAsh15 сағат бұрын
It can be used around the eyes yes, especially if your skin is tolerating to the product. I don't see the conflicts on the Ordinary website for the EUK 134 but since it's a type of antioxidant I would probably keep them separate but you could always contact The Ordinary to be certain.

I'd say gentle chemical peels and keeping skin moisturized should help. Layer of dead skin cells is hard for hair to break through and chemical peels like The Ordinary will remove it. And also moisturizing helps to soften the skin, making it easier for hair to exit the pore.

There is the Revive serum as well as the Skin Medica TNS, which are very expensive but the ingredients are high and they work. With this one, I think it may do something a little over time. The price point is so low I don't see how strong the growth factors are in the product. I think It my do more just for moisturizing, but maybe I'm wrong.
@SincerelyMissAsh5 күн бұрын
Totally understand.. Human derived Growth Factors would most likely be more effective and one would see quicker results over The Ordinary or any other Plant Derived Growth Factors. I am willing to find out either way lol..

I am a little sceptical as it's so inexpensive. I'll wait to hear what you think about it.

I have been using SkinMedica TNS for about 6 mosin rotation at night. It is pricey and I think it's a good product I'm going to finish this one out and switch to Reviv which is also pricey but about half the cost. I'm switching because the TNS has 2 chambers to dispense the product and one clogs regularly so not sure if distribution is even. 😠🤔Ty for the great explanation!❤

For me is a pass, keeping my skincare simple I''d rather focus on ingredients that have a solid and consistent amount of research to back their efficacy - also grow factors are "huge" molecules, hard to squeeze them into the skin in a formulation prospective

The Ordinary brand has accessible prices but I am using a new product for $15 that has Growth Factors and multi collagen and keratin Peptides. It is better and cheaper than brands such as Auteur and MBR which come in small sizes, for face only and cost upwards of $300. After using it for 5 months, this is what it has done for me. It improved skin texture, naturally hydrated it (without oils, jelly and butters), evened my skin tone, increased cellular turnover, sped up wound healing, controlled oil production and dandruff when used as a body wash. When I used it as a shampoo bar, it repaired my hair and made it silky smooth and airy with no weight. It is called Hair & Whole Body Bar and has a formula that is fast absorbed due to it's peptide binding enhancement technology which produces water molecules in a condensation reaction that hydrates skin and hair naturally. The collagen and keratin peptides not only are part of Collagen Banking but of Keratin Banking as well. This routine will prevent future loss of skin collagen that will lead to sagging, crepey and thinning skin. Skin is made up of soft keratin so keratin banking is as important as collagen banking. It repairs, grows hair, naturally moisturizes, rebuilds and strengthens hair and skin simultaneously. Search on Amazon for Skinlyte to find it. I noticed many improvements in my hair, skin and nails. What I like best about it is that it's all natural and without harmful and irritating chemicals such as synthetic dyes, fragrance, SLS or preservatives.
