Just installed mine today, the amp no longer has the switches or the remote jack. I even took the amp apart to look inside, nothing! FYI I did not cut the GM floor mat and it still fit great.

I wish I left my floor mat alone. I figured since I would have to cut the X in it for the wiring anyway, may as well cut the whole thing.

@@jeff-9322 ah, yeah, I cut mine because I wanted that clean look. Seen some that just have wires hanging out. I’m assuming yours is well hidden, though.

@@Oldlady74 It sounds ok, wish it had remote control. I did not cut floor liners and fit perfectly fine. Speaker faces down

They should have had a power wire already ran from the battery to the backseat for easier installation. No reason you can’t just quick connect it all from the backseat. Also, while the amp size is good, the small sub makes the $829 price a little extreme. Does this even come with a built in capacitor or no?

I did the controller and turned up the amp. Not sure how it compares.. but mine sounds great and having control of just the subwoofer and not all the bass of the vehicle is nice.

I agree. I installed mine with all the dip switches set to factory and it sounded ok. But with the controller knob and all the dip switches up it’s a huge difference. Sounds so good and like you said it doesn’t mess with the Bose speakers 👍🏼

That’s how I would have done it. Let the sub handle the bass, not your speakers.

Could it be installed on top of the rubber mat? Without cutting?

It can, wish I attempted that first .. just need to route the wires to fit, but there’s room.

Do you notice after the install a thump after a little bit once the doors are closed when the vehicle is shut down

Do you have the 7 speaker bose system with the console mounted sub as well?

I have the bose system but unaware of a console mounted sub.

Yes console. But it's barely there. My 21 Mazda Bose system has a sub that's useless as well.

It does, that’s where one of the connectors goes to.

Did you have to run the audio harness to the back or is it there already? Not sure if you didn't show that part. I'm trying to install in my 2024 hd

Power wires went through the firewall where they attached to a connector that is part of the main speaker box harness. So, the speaker wires all started at the front passenger area where the ground was connected and the speaker wires were tapped. Then that harness ran under the seats on the right side and around to left rear and connected to the speaker box via 2 connectors.

On a 2024 there is no black tit in the engine bay. Wire go through the white connector

Depends on how you run the wires, I’m sure they will route on top as well.

So does the subwoofer actually face down towards the floor under the plastic casing?

Yes. Safer for me so nothing gets stacked on top of the speaker ( I have kids and dogs)

Is it possible to install 2 of these kits? Another video had these installed on the rear passenger side. Wasnt sure if 2 would fit

2 of these kits will not fit, you are better off going aftermarket.

Wish I would have just had this added when I ordered my 2023, it was a $750 add on at the time, figured I would be able to get it for much less and do the install myself, looks like I was wrong 🤔

I order one for my 23 AT4 but it’s a dealership add on so they will be installing it when it arrives, I also order the knob so they can connect it.

this one will not, you need a different one that includes an amp and a lot more work, unfortunately.

Full bose system 100% functional. This is the gm upgrade kit.

Base with those speakers aren’t good . The flutter and sound bad. I return mine .

i just got a '24 with this sub in it... its GARBAGE... its a one note wonder and zero bass below 40hz and nothing above 60hz... im praying its polarity is wrong otherwise this is a horrible upgrade

The audio professionals will come on here and poop on the subwoofer. It sounds like you need to build a better system as this is intended for the other 99% of truck owners.

@DemonWorks yeah i mean i get they wana sell you a whole system i get they low lvl hate on it lol But my pro 22 sounded amazing, like legit response to 25hz with no sub... i was hoping for this plus just alittle bit of punch... and got garbage Im hoping the sub polarity is 180 out, going to check stuff today, possible factory speakers are outa phase too, would explain the weird things going on with various freq going up when i turn them down 15/10 not liking this "elevation" trim...
