This is a Magicka Dragonknight build for NECROM in Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). It only uses ONE back bar button to help you learn to 2 bar dps easily and parses over 115k DPS! It has both trial and non trial options and a simple rotation. You can do every aspect of PVE with this build with the confidence of only needing one back bar ability!

Hi Normally! Great question and I am glad you are already thinking in that direction! The main ability I would suggest is to add is Engulfing Flames. Its another damage over time ability that will also boost all of your fire damage. You won't see the benefit on the trial dummy as you would in live content as the trial dummy already has the flame increasing debuff built into it. Next I would consider the Undaunted ability Mystic Orb. I hope this helps and thank you for watching!

Hey loved the video, it's amazing how effective this build is for how simple it is, though do you have a discord I could up load my parse to, as am only getting a 106k parse with a 0.97 light attacks with an average weave of 0.025 so not sure how I can improve the parse further?

You are about 9k off this video and honestly thats about right in line with the nerfs. I dont mind taking a look at all for you though. Maybe there is a little something that can be tweaked. Hey Dooma! Theres been some changes since this one. Its by far my favorite build! Any recommendations for sets now? Rune carver, aegis caller? Im pretty sure nirn took a bit of a hit. Just trying to stay up to date my friend.

For sure, I got you. This is on my u42 list right now. There has been quite a lot of requests for more "Next Level" stuff, so I intend to focus on that a bit for the next patch at some point. It's kind of the wild wild west right now with the 10 year thing, u42, PTS, Gold Road, etc. Never been more busy, in a good way, haha.

Are you waiting until the dots run out to reapply them? I noticed that you don't refresh flames of oblivion before it runs out. I'm trying different things.

Yeah, the only dot in the game you wanna reapply before running out is carve

Hi Alma! You typically want to refresh dots as they expire if you can, or as close to it as possible. There are a few hard exceptions like @AlduinESO listed below (thank you!), such as Carve. You never want to let Carve fully expire as you will lose your stacks and want to try to and refresh it BEFORE it expires. Flames of Oblivion's is another one. Flames' final tick happens as it expires. So if you cut it short, you will lose out on a bit of dps throughout your parse. Not necessarily from a loss in dps from Flames of Oblivion, but by less spammables. That's what it's all about. Maximizing dot uptime efficiency, to maximum the amount of spammables you can get in.

Hi Soliak! Normal Rele will be completely fine for the build. Regarding the vMa inferno staff, it's going to be one of your better options for the back bar. I will be doing a bit of play testing for this build here soon, so some things may change. Any changes will be reflected on the written guide and I normally make sure to say something in Discord/stream when updates go out.

Hi Tendo! This is a group DPS build. It's going to lack some of the tools for heavy solo content. Check out the solo build here: www.thegameroom.tv/dragonknight-buillds It was capable of soloing some trial bosses at the time of posting. I need to eye ball this one a bit for some changes though before Archive. I may swap out BSW for something like Pillar of Nirn.

Hi Ansh! Thats a tough one to answer without some play testing. Specifically to try and get anywhere close to this dps with this set up. Both of those sets are significant to this set up. I am going to be spending quite a bit of time on the PTS in the coming weeks. I'll try to take a look for you for this new patch.

nirn alternative is aegis caller .. which will be higher dps than nirn after todays patch anyway, for mostly stationary fights that is(which is almost all of them).

Hi Sasuke! Thank you for watching and your patience! I just got back from an unexpected vacation of sorts. The debuff from flames is already applied to the Trial Dummy so you wouldn't get more damage when parsing, but its possible you would get a bit more dps in live content if there wasnt another source in the group.

Hi Nick! I would imagine so, but I would have to parse it to confirm. I cant imagine rele > whorl resulting in 15k less dps. You may have to swap some Nirn pieces around to get more medium on the body (maybe, but also maybe not, I am not sure without putting it all together on the PTS) to get certain values correct. If you already have whorl, I would just throw it all together and parse and see where you land. If you are around the 100k area, then you know its g2g and you can make changes/practice to get it to that 100k mark.

@@MrJeppo96 Awesome, easy fix then. If you like, join our discord. In the Parsing channel post a screen shot of your build and I can take a look and usually find the difference quickly. Just tag me with @dooma so I have a reminder. There’s 2 good ways to post a full build screen shot: 1) download the addon “overview” then in game type /overview Make sure all the tabs are enabled (you’ll see it after typing /overview) and post that screen shot with everything showing. 2) With the cmx addon hit a target dummy then leave combat. Bring up the post fight report (you can key bind this in the key bind menu, just scroll down to find it or /cmx in chat I believe). On the left are tabs. I believe the icon is a circle with an “i” in it. Click that and it will show your build. You can post that screen shot. 3) My favorite way and the easiest way is the addon “Superstar” which all you have to do is type /superstar in chat and it shows the whole build. If that works that’s super easy for both of us. But last I tried to use it, it wasn’t updated for the current patch. May work today, haven’t tried in a while. Post one of those and I will take a look for you tomorrow.

Sustain On dk is absolutely trash, especially since they fucking changed chains so they now fucking taunt.. There goes my one ability making sustain possible. 🙄 Even with this setup I run out of magicka Waaaaaaaay to fast. This class is dead as far as magicka goes, do not recomend.

Hi Jester! I don't think what you are saying is correct, zero disrespect intended. Just to make sure I wasn't crossing wires remembering my time testing this build, I just race changed my PTS DK to Dark Elf (zero racial sustain passives), I used Garlic Chutney food (zero sustain food), and I used Weapon Damage glyphs on my jewelry (so extra stam sustain, not magicka sustain) and I was able to sustain the parse with my magicka mostly over 70% or so for the entire parse while not having 3 sustain components, one of them which is usually always required to sustain a parse (food). I was never in jeopardy of even kind of running out of resources, and thats me parsing at close to the highest speed. So any slower parsing than myself would result in even more sustain. If anything, this set up is extra good on sustain compared to other set ups. Since the hybridization changes in ESO, most builds have to be balanced with a mix of mag and stam skills for maximum effect. Not always, but often times, if you have too much of a particular resource drain, you have too many skills of that resource type (or incorrect sustain components added to the build to support it). When I mention having magicka sustain issues in the video, that was with the option to remove a stamina morph and add the magicka morph of a skill for more self heals (Venemous Claw -> Burning Embers), and this was while suggesting using garlic chutney, which has no sustain. That made the set up have too many magicka skills with not enough magicka sustain to support it. But by swapping chutney to any magicka sustain food, its fine, if you wanted to use that extra magicka morph (I just tested it out to refresh my memory and used Witchmother's Potent Brew, which is usually the cheapest/worst/most common sustain food people use, and sustained the parse using Burning Embers with my magicka mostly above 70% for most of the parse). Either way, you should not be running out of resources with this set up on a parse, if parsing properly. I suspect possibly (from my experience helping players on this topic) there is something else fundamentally going on, maybe I can help with. Are you on PC by chance? If so, we have a parsing channel in Discord where you can post a parse and build overview and usually always we can quickly pinpoint what may be going on. I'll be honest, and again no disrespect intended, but after some years doing this, zero people I have helped with your situation, ended up having the 100% correct set up across the board or were parsing with the correct rotation/practices, who said they weren't able to sustain a set up. Not trying to criticize at all, just offering my help if you want it. I appreciate you watching either way! 💪

@@Dooma oh it's no criticizing on your build itself, usually love your builds, just annoyed with the current state of dk since it used to be my fave, run pretty much the same setup, kinras on body all magicka and pillar on front bar, but even on a one bar setup I find I run out of magicka super quick especially in content when you gotta reapply most things over and over. used to run chains as spammable since it gives magicka back if u can't pull, and it helped to stack enemies, but they now changed it to a taunt so it's useless for dd. So there is only one spammable that can be used and thats whip and don't love whip as a spammable feels awkward and prefer to get it to prock as often as possible (yes I LOVE that back flip) and chains was perfect for that. And since the game forces you to play hybrid it definitely ruins the fun, wanted to use the magicka morph for breath for that big boost to fire dmg but seems sustaining it with mostly magicka abilitys aint possible, making it useless? I really don't like having the EXACT same setup on all classes, just to make em playable, makes it feel like they have 0 personality and uniqueness. This is why arcanist has quickly become my new fave, been running your solo arcanist and its been great.👍🏻 (still got STOMPED by the walking nightmare in the new zone) Love the content tho bro, one of the most helpful dudes on YT for solo builds. 👌🏻🖤

Especially about the same set ups on most classes. Arcanist is right there with Warden for me as my favorite class and I can see it taking over the Warden for me here soon haha. Fyi it is still the strongest end game carry dd. If you running out if mag. reevaluate the situation you are in : group composition, gear, available synergies, food in use or maybe simple skills overcasting is an issue

@@meowanameow956 that power only applies to some group content, mostly run solo except daily Randoms where everyone is usually absolute trash, and dk is one of the worst solo classes in the game. It might be able to get good numbers if you min max and don't care about class identity, but I'd rather have fun with a class then conform to a boring meta.
