Next Level Racing - GT Track - Full Review

Next Level Racing has become one of the go to manufacturers of sim racing chassis or simrigs as we like to call them. They have an entire line up of racing chassis, wheels stands and sim accessories. They also make one of the most affordable motion platforms available.
The GT Track is the flagship model and the most hardcore sim chassis that Next Level Racing makes. It comes packed with features that sim racers want and an assortment of extras that are included along with the rig.

In this review Shaun Cole covers all of the GT Tracks's features, builds it up from scratch and then dials it in for driving including mounting his ear to it. For this review Shaun is using a Sim Xperience Accuforce Steering Wheel and Ricmotech Real Gear Pedals for testing. After all of the equipment is mounted, dialed in and ready to go Shaun will talk about what its like using the GT Track chassis and driving it out on track.

I bought the wheelstand 2.0 a year ago it held up great. And today i just assembled the gt track seat and i am excited to race. Going from my gamer chair to the lower seat allowed me to adjust my game horizon lower and i can see about 4 inches more to the top of my monitor! I can see more of the track. Especially when im nose diving to the ground in a pro 4 truck after a big jump. this is my only sim rig, my first one, and i am very happy with it

Anything made by Next Level racing cannot hold a direct drive wheel quit buying cheap cockpits by 80 20 aluminum all day I've had a Next Level racing f1gt it was the biggest piece of shit racing rig I've ever had I pretty much gave it to a friend for free once I got my 80/20 from sim-lab

Also have to divvy funds for mortgage, wife, and an expensive music hobby. What is the best price to performance point in your opinion? I'd say it's somewhere around where this one is or maybe a bit lower.

After a solid research and user reviews read, it looks like a solid rig where you get all that you need included in the box which is great for racing enthusiasts like myself. Owners also mentioned that the rig is very stiff even with high end DD wheels and load cell pedals. If I am not mistaking rhis is Next Level Racing top model. This would be my first proper rig after using just the wheel stand and a sofa :)

I am taking delivery of my new GT Track in hours. It is replacing a F-GT Lite cockpit. Why? The Lite is a great entry level cockpit. Now that Upgraded to a Moza R5 set it simply has too much flex for a direct drive wheel. I learned to deal with it but a more rigid rig is desirable. For screens I have the Free standing NLR triple screen stand. Very happy with all my NLR gear. Can’t wait to swap the new one in. Nice review.

Did I see holes in that front plate that the pedal tray could attach to if flat? Seems to me that could eliminate any flex in the legal tray, no?

I have the GT Track rig and also the V3 motion platform...but the sad part is that the holes under the seat doesn’t align with the holes on top of the V3 motion platform...i wonder how the quality control missed THAT!!

It was for me but only my back not bottom sweat but I don't fit into seat very well because of COVID love handles and the side bolsters pinch. I got a cheap lumbar pillow on Amazon and seat is much more comfortable and no sweating at all.

I'm looking at the flight version of this seat but have concerns about the width of the pedal plate. My flight pedals are nineteen inches across. How wide is the pedal plate and how wide is the interior measurement of the vertical supports for the wheel deck?

It’s a very mature package with good instructions and included tools. However, it’s way to expensive for a mainstream rig.

OhItsThat thanks for the feedback we appreciate it. Not the cheapest on the market but includes lot of extras that usually are charged extra. We included buttkicker support, handbrake support, lockable wheel castors, racing harness etc and free shipping in the price which usually about $100-$150 with sim rigs of this weight and size boxes.

@@NextLevelRacing Except my seat the frame under the distance between the center holes on the back side of the seat are UNDERSIZE by 5 mm meaning i had to drill my V3 motion platform to align the damn holes...that SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED for a product that expensive...fire the QA!!

G Ozz Racing Boy, what did they do to you? You spreading your negativity all over. The rig is absolutely rigid and holds easily any Direct Drive. I have it withe Motion platform V3, with the caster wheels on, the Simucube 2 Pro and the HE Ultimate, works perfectly and didn’t need any additional holes for mounting. Lastly, the seat is very comfortable and has great adjustability. I suspect you had a bad service customer experience, that usually is the reason most of the times for a bad opinion about a product, but here we want objective opinions.

Flex is a funny thing. I have a Bob Earl Mark 2 rig with a center post for my wheel. It flexes a bit, side to side, but not front to back. I never notice it. And let's say you go for a motion platform, which means you will be moving all over the place. I was once in one of those rigs that uses heavy pipe, built like a tank, but one of the most uncomfortable rigs I've ever tried.

You are actually comparing different cockpits. This is the GTtrack review. Chris Hayes cockpit is the F1GT, the new updated version of that cockpit is the F-GT $499 delivered cockpit that some customers are even using DD wheel on (Sean has seperate review on the F-GT cockpit and also using the Leo Bodnar wheel DD wheel on it kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6DXiphvp6-lgdE). Not nice to accuse people of not telling the truth when you had your facts quite wrong.
