Hey therw, thanks for all the videos. How often should this workout be done. This is for an adult league player. Also cycles and lifts but I'd like to add some plyo to my program.

You're welcome. A speed workout containing jumps and sprints twice per week in the off-season works well combined with a lifting program.

Can u explain the hockey plyo and jump training phases. Currently, I think Im at the more advanced stage but I'm worried that I'm doing plyos or jumps that are below my level.

Is it good to do some plyos also during in season for a hockey player ? 13 year old elite players ?
@NextLevelAthletics10 ай бұрын
First off, there's no such thing as an elite 13-year-old player. They're children. Nothing elite about them. And 13 year olds are not ready for plyometrics. Jump training, yes, under quality coaching. Plyos, no. Watch this video to understand the difference: kzbin.info/www/bejne/boDYhJSwpaudiJo Jumps should be a part of off-ice training also during hockey season for young athletes IF coaching and programming are on point. Which isn't the case most of the time.

Do I fully rest before a set or just 60 seconds?
@NextLevelAthletics Жыл бұрын
These are lower intensity plyometrics, so 60 seconds is enough. Even if that sounds short, your work:rest ratio will be around 1:20 or more. Long enough for the nervous system to recover. I'll post an advanced plyo workout with more intense exercises soon. Those require longer rest.
