I bought one and have to say that I am very happy with it. Love the blade and the pocket clip. All the tools work really well and the overall quality is great. So far, this has bumped my SAK out of the EDC rotation

The pocket clip is what makes special. I wish Victorinox would gives us that out of the box.

I kind of like that sort of MT because they are a whole lot cheaper than swiss knives and are great companions to more regular mini pliers and wrenches with also the benefit of taking less space than plier based MTs

That's a good looking EDC for a pocketknife alternative. Not sure it would be enough to give up my powerpint/kershaw-blur combo, but it is less to consider carrying in the pocket.

I just dropped $80 on the new-old-stock Leatherman Juice XE6 that they "re-released" to get rid of inventory. I know its kind of a rip-off, but I always liked that tool and never had one. I actually bought 2, so maybe I can recoup my money by selling one on the secondary market after they are sold out. :)

I usually hate hate HATE wasting a slot on a multitool for scissors, because they're always too small to be useful for cutting anything you couldn't cut just as well with a knife, but... I will say... those scissors ALMOST look like they're big enough to actually be useful for some things.

It appears to be better than the Gerber Slim, do you know for comparison? The SOG powerpint was absolutely nonsense for me, would be interesting if you have experience with both. Great review!

It probably is better than the Slim. I have the Powerpint, the sicssors on this Nextool are definitely better than the Powerpint's.

I got the same model, but the knife lock is different from the scissors, in your video the locks are the same. In the pocket knife I purchased the knife lock is stuck.

It does not affect its use, just the blade that is not so firm, to pierce something, for example. Great video.

In the first image of the link posted for purchase, you can see the difference in locks. In this image it is the same as mine, different from the scissor lock.

Can't fault that for $20, worth buying to keep in the glovebox. Maybe that's an EDC idea 'what's in your glovebox?' I have a multi-tool (not a major brand, but it has screwdriver bits) , a single 'AA' flashlight, (it's a Lenser but I can't remember what model) and snacks,... unless my wife has been using the car, and then sometimes she eats my emergency snacks.

I believe it is to hold a micro screwdriver, but mine did not come with one.

1:10 on the opposite side of the glass breaker , what is the hexagonal hole for? Is it a unstated function or a setscrew for the pivot pin of primary blade?

To me, it looks like it was meant to hold a micro driver bit, but they did not include one, so I think they decided not to make it a function. I did try a Leatherman micro bit in it, but it was loose.

Can you modify it? Switching places of the awl and scissors (or anything else that can lose locking status, since you HAVE to put a lot of force to use the awl for drilling holes), would that work?

I think so, but it did not come with a bit. Possibly they changed the design and left the hole there.
