Thanks for the review! Been after a multitool with an adjustable spanner for ages, will be buying this based on your review. ;-)

My favourite multitool, which lives permanently on my belt in a holster, is a Schrade Toolbox Vice Grip. This has a couple of blades, a double ended screwdriver and (the important bit) a set of locking vice grips. Soooooo useful.

Schrade seem to make a huge range of stuff, it's a bit less common I think in the UK. I have a small (less than 15cm) pair of mole grips that often live in my kit, if I found a multitool pair that would be tempting!

Splendid that, an adjustable can be infinitely useful - I love a good multi tool myself for all the random things I also get up to, and I carry three with me usually. A pliers based multi-tool from Stanley, a cheap one with a hammer head on it (for the drone landing pad ground pegs), and a swiss army 'knife' for general scissors, pliers, screwdrivers etc, although I don't carry any of them for the knives on them, they are all legal. I have often wondered how many I can reasonably account for if I were ever stopped though.

I'm similar! I tend to often carry two... I never thought about the cheaper hammer multitools but I often can be found using a rock to tap in drone pad pegs or rocket tower retainers! Lol.. I'll check some out!

I carry a really low end multitool with an adjustable wrench in my laptop bag. Your Nextool Vanguard here is so much nicer, but the one I carry was selling for only $3 on Amazon when I bought it, so I can't really complain! When I did IT work, I always carried an adjustable wrench in my laptop bag next to my screwdriver multitool. The number of times when I would drive or fly to one of our locations and sit on a wobbly chair or at a wobbly table was way too high. You can really improve someone's tiny office when you make their table stop wobbling by tightening a bolt. Sure. You can tighten a bolt with the pliers, but I always feel like a cave man when I do that, and sometimes you just can't easily tighten a nut or bolt well when you also have to squeeze really hard.

You deffo can't complain about a $3 tool! I deffo agree, bolt tightening with pliers feels a bit barbaric! Although, I've done it many times!
