NEXUS Letter Providers for VA Disability Claims

This is just a list of nexus letter/opinion providers; in other words, this is an FYI video. It features websites, pricing, and the professional credential of the provider. This the first of several videos discussing the nexus provider industry.

The nexus opinion letter is probably the most important piece of evidence that you can submit in your disability claim. I would say 75% to 85% of all denied claims are due to lack of a nexus. Good stuff.

Any provider that list their prices before reviewing the medical evidence is considered a nexus mill.

That may be true in some cases; but that is not what I found. Typically, the individuals/firms listing their prices also list who prepares the nexus and their credential. I suspect that providers that identify themselves and their credential while also listing a price are on the up and up. I personally would never do business with anyone with an open-ended price scheme. At a minimum, I would expect a price range disclosed. One of the veterans I helped was charged $8000 by one of these non-price disclosure operations and it was a bad letter to boot. He lost his case. 70% of the nexus letters I’ve reviewed are not adequate.

@@VAMADNESS The problem with the NEXUS industry is that it's watered down and has turned into a nexus mill, and the credibility of these providers has been questioned. Nine times out of ten, these examiners do not review the entire claim file before writing these nexuses for veterans which is a requirement. What is the recourse for these companies that charge low prices if the veteran nexus doesn’t work? I noticed none of these companies that are 'helping' veterans post on their website they can get a free review if the nexus doesn’t work.

@@mrlnternational I completely agree the nexus issue is a huge problem. Which is why I am profiling providers. The nexus problem can be fixed by simply forcing the VA to do its job properly. I outline how to do this in my book. Sadly, few people are interested enough to buy the book. I sent a copy to every member on the VA committees in congress (house and senate). The chair of the senate committee (senator Tester) actually refused to accept the book and sent it back to me. If it were only that simple. Most treating doctors won’t have anything to do with claim litigation. Also, the few letters I have seen from treating doctors do not meet VA evidence standards.

So you charge a fee to vet providers ?

If they want to become a recommended sponsor on my KZbin channel, they will certainly have to pay a fee for that opportunity; however, they will have to prove they are capable of writing an adequate nexus opinion per my test to become a sponsor. In 2020, I offered many of these businesses a free sponsorship: all they had to do was pass my test to prove they are capable of writing an adequate nexus opinion. There were several who wanted to be a sponsor, but they were unwilling to be tested. No test, No sponsorship. Keep in mind, a nexus provider is running a business; a business that makes its money from selling nexus opinions to veterans. Often those opinions suck. I listed 40 nexus businesses, so the competition for veteran dollars is fierce.

What about APRN's ?

Any medical professional with specialized training can offer an opinion over a lay person, including APRNs; however, I rarely encounter opinions outside of NPs, PAs, MDs (the big three). They likely account for 95% of all nexus opinions. Also, the video was in reference to the nexus provider industry. None of the nexus businesses listed an APRN as a nexus writer.
