Nez0's Bad Shoppe: Reve-D RDX Constructor's Digest

Tips, infos, tricks and other notes along the journey of the building and completion of a RC car kit brought to you by Nez0 :D Alrighty this digest film is the longest one to date :D The chassis has few different battery configuration options so there is a bit of extra explaining for the different methods but overall the car should be assembled in the standard roller build timing of 4-6 hours. The build process is quite good and not very complicated at all. The instructions are very well laid out and there are lots of notes around. Some of the car's neat little innovations that I show off at the beginning of the film I did not discover myself until during the build process :) These tips and infos should help you on your building process. I think they build the shocks with the shaft pushed in to get less, or zero rebound. The further out you have the shaft the more rebound you will get

Yes some people do build the shocks partially pushed in as a tuning preference.

Early in the video you mentioned that there's things you can't do that you can do with the MC-1. Can you elaborate on that please?

Mostly this is down to tuning and driving techniques. I can drive the RDX similar to my MC-1, however I can currently push my MC-1 harder with higher angle corner entries.

I recently sold my RMX 2.5rs and am leaning toward the RDX or MRX GT as my next car. Which would you reccomend and why?

Hmmm I love both those cars but for different reasons. The RDX reminds me of my competition MC-1 but in a fun-for-all form. The MRX GT has many upgrades and feels competition ready from the box.

Hey Nez0, love watching your vids and constructors digest. I have an rdx on order and has pushed out to end of April. So to get me sliding earlier, I’ve gotten my self a YD2 ZX as well. I was hoping to have your guidance while putting it together but no luck with a digest. I went for the ZX after watching the issues you had with the SD and the Md and being new to drift I thought I didn’t need the hassle. So, any pointers or things to be mindful of when building the ZX? Is also my first drift build, but not first rc build. Sorry for such a long winded question. Thanks mate, Dave

Hey David, thank you for watching! Yes there is no digest of the YD-2 ZX yet as i started that series of videos after I built my ZX. I should do one tho as several people around me have gotten a ZX recently. I do remember the build process being very good without any real issues. I have seen that some people have received 'manual supplement' sheets but Im unsure as to what info was on those sheets. I'm sure by the time i've responded (delayed my bad) that you will have assembled and started drifting your beautiful new machine :D Hopefully all is well and thank you again for watching! :)

Hey Nezo here is my review of RDax vs mst rmx 2.5 RDX - super easy to build . Steering is awesome ...damper one of the smoothest...out of box with factory set up 9/10 ...i have upgraded the rdx with big bore shock and changed the front sttering geometry with little toe out also rear wheels i have added turnbuckle ...performace 10/10 ....i use topline wheels and tires 10.5t motor ares sky rc team powera xps sports pro jx hd servo and powerhd g1 servo with 60percent gain ...recevier flyky noble nb4 frgs4s ....i would say my spent around 450 usd and another 150usd custom duties shipped to india Rmx 2.5 s Build - good quality parts ...i use carbon high flex chasis and same electronic as rdx with similiar tires and 100 percent same set up ...gyro gain is 68 percent ...i have upgraded mst with aluminium steering set up and aluminium motor plate v2 ...however i think its misses rdx performance a little bit ...though fun to drive but rdx have more control and better adustibilty ...cost wise yes build is expensive usd 550 - 600 usd I would prefer rdx over rmx as the car has more potential and with few tweaks it can beat big names
