9:25 I should note here that Muzan would’ve had to pick out the smell of a human in a crowd of humans, while Tanjiro simply needed to pick out the singular demon in a crowd of humans. Even if Muzan has a better sense of smell, the task is VASTLY easier for Tanjiro as the needle-in-a-haystack he’s looking for effectively has a stadium spotlight attached to it. But I do agree the theory is weak in other areas… Muzan didn’t last 1000 years by forgetting to tie up loose ends 🤣

Considering that none of the Kamado family appeared to be devoured but there was massive amounts of blood all around I would say he was trying to turn them all into demons but only nezuko survived

I believe there wasn't a specific reason for making Nezuko a demon outside of the reason why he turns other people into demons, being the chance of someone being able to walk in the sun or encountering the blue spider Lily.

It is going to be explained that she didn’t get a lot of blood. In fact she got the least amount of blood compared to any normal demon. Unfortunately, in the manga they don’t explain why she got so strong so quickly. My guess is because of the fact that she can sleep and get stronger. If we take in to consideration that she has slept for more than 2 years in total then it would make sense.

Demon Slayer is going to be at least 100 episodes when it's complete, and that's also assuming there's going to be minimal filler, and they won't split fights into multiple episodes like dbz and Naruto. If it's going to be like other animes with filler that stuff it will easily be over 300.

1. He would need a huge amount and would have to constantly supply it to every part of his skin. 2. The reason he's looking for a sun resistant demon is so he could tear them to shreds, find out how it works and fix himself. So he could feel the sun, not just walk in it.

I just figured it was a random family he killed for a snack and made Nezuko a demon for generic purposes. His callousness towards humans lead to his downfall more so than some Machiavellian scheme getting turned against him. Whereas Tanjiro was sympathetic even to his enemies.

I always just assumed that one of the family members managed (likely purely by coincidence, not by actual skill, as that wouldn’t be possible. Maybe he stumbled into an axe or something) to draw blood. Giyuu said that Muzan’s blood probably fell into Nezuko’s wounds, and I just assumed that this was the case. It was accidental. I figured that made sense because of how people are always saying she must have gotten more blood than average- it wasn’t controlled, it was a misstep forged in coincidence.

He killed Tanjuro's family, except for Nezuko, because they were either too old or too young and Nezuko was close enough age to likely surive the transformation. Was probably after Tanjuro or didn't realize he existed, otherwise would have killed Nezuko and turned Tanjuro instead. All this for the likely best chance of turning a Sun Breather into a demon and hopefully gaining sunwalker ability because of it.
