I cry everytime I listen to the last part where he's talking to her about when he has kids and she won't be there for any of that. Just the pain in his voice and in his heart is so sad and I couldn't imagine what he feels like. As a parent makes me think of my son and how I never want him to go through that pain and that sorrow. It makes me strive to never let my mind slip to any sort of place like that. ❤ really hits me hard.

I just want to say that i am only 16 years old and I'm addicted. yes, it is so difficult to say no. I haven't had the best childhood and when I discovered it, it felt like i was flying. like i was in my own world that i created. but it is also terrifying. the hallucinations can be horrific and traumatizing. sometimes it feels like every organ in my body is shutting down and i have to focus really hard on convincing myself that i am not dying. it is so horrific, but you still get hooked on that slight feeling of flying, being in your own world, nothing being real, and just feeling that slight happiness for even just a moment. now every time i see a bottle i start to sweat. it is something i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. please if you are like me seek help immediately before it is too late. because now it feels like i am surviving on it.

Well I think the pills took her from them once probably meant legally, which is why cps had to supervise her visits, & cause NF & his sisters lived with their dad. & then “to finish her” meant cause now she officially OD’d & died sadly 🥺❤️.

It kinda was a suicide, in a way... I'm a mom in recovery, so this song hits me really hard. In recovery one of the things we say to remind us why we shouldn't relapse is, "Active addiction is a slow suicide on a daily basis". The tragic thing is it was probably that couple weeks he was talking about during which she stayed clean that killed her. That's the most common time for addicts to die from overdose is when they've had clean time and their tolerance goes down. Then when they have a relapse, they take the same dose that they were taking before and their body just can't handle it anymore. This was before the time when fentanyl in fake pills really came on the scene, so it's my guess that having some clean time is what killed her. When you don't have very much clean time and something happens in your life to trigger your trauma response, you haven't learned enough skills to fight the need to use. His wife's father died from an overdose as well which is why they really connected with each other. He has said in more recent interviews that he has more compassion and understanding for her now and what she was going through.

You don't get addicted to anti depressants, strong painkillers straight away it takes time and taking more and more, she chose to go that route over her children. She was the adult and responsible for her children, but she'd rather be in lala land, and who cares about anyone else. Life is not all good, as I know, but I would never go down that route, you get on with it without lala land, you bring your children up and never inflict the pain that we see and hear here...
