This song always gets me because my mom had a drug addiction when i was very young but she managed to clean herself up and has been for over 23 years now and this song reminds me just how lucky i am and proud of her i am

I lost my mom due to doctors and her using so many prescriptions... UGH. 😢😢 Ultimately...confronted her, told her to get off all the prescriptions and she did. Later in life, was off all of that, and some screw up at the hospital, she was in a coma...due to an allergic reaction.

My father passed a few years ago. And my mother remarried to my now “step father” and relapsed and took off. I have yet to hear from her and she left me homeless due to her selling the house we were living in from underneath me with nowhere to go. Fast forward I am now almost done with college and have a beautiful fiancé who is my best friend. I am lucky. I hope whoever reads this knows it will get better ❤️‍🩹
