I have the RS9 and Obsidian 9 and a HK SP5 The obsidian is a great can but shooting my friends RS9 sold me on it and the RS9 lives on my sp5 it is God tier suppression for 9mm and i personally highly recommend it

Regarding the 9mm AK platform: I’ve been extremely torn on KP-9 or AKV and I haven’t been able to find a perfect solution here’s my pros and cons list you guys can correct me if I’m wrong: KP-9: Legit Vityaz Longer bolt throw Reduced recoil (probably from the longer travel of the bolt?) Accepts zenitco vityaz furniture (expensive but quality) Proprietary mags AKV: Knock off from PSA (I like PSA don’t attack me it’s just a fact) Shorter bolt travel Punchy Has a LRBHO Uses scorpion mags Accepts AKM furniture (Midwest Furniture is nice) Can be purchased with an ALG trigger already installed PSA’s customer support is better I’m leaning AKV if you couldn’t tell, but I haven’t made the final call I think I’m over thinking the recoil Any help would be appreciated

I have a AkV and it's probably one of my favorite PCC. I have yet to shoot a kp9 but I honestly don't think it would be much better then the AkV. Really the only basis I see anyone getting a kp9 over the AkV is for the actual clone "correctness" to the vityas. Just the fact that PSA makes their own mags that you can get insane cheap around 14 bucks when they go on sale beats the kp9 out the door. My only complaint would be the bolt pop when shooting Suppressed. But thats not the guns fault, that's just basic functionality of a direct blow back gun. But with my omega 36m and Rex .358 it's still a blast to shoot. If your looking for absolutely the quietest platform then the mp5 platform is the winner hands down.

Have an AKV and there is no recoil to speak of. Bought it before there ever was mention of the KP9 and haven't had any problems (probably ~2000 rounds) and still love it. Just got a CGS Mod9 for it.

I've got 1000+ rounds through my KP9 - it's been perfect so far. The mags are rock solid, and you're overthinking the recoil - it's a 9mm "pistol" so it basically has zero recoil. Rifle dynamics also makes a a recoil buffer to shorten the throw on the bolt carrier - pretty cool.

Just FYI, Surefire does have an adapter to get the light body away from the muzzle specifically to allow a suppressor. They are readily available. Very handy thing and looks way better and does not get nearly as smoked out when firing unsuppressed.

I would definitely recommend the PSA AKV all day before the KP9. $14 magazines is a clear no brainer. Also PSA legit warranty.

Legit warranty because their products constantly break. And you aren't getting a quality mag for $14 retail these days - end of story, just seriously... Save more money and buy a better quality product.

It pains me how often subsonic 300blk ammo from reputable manufacturers goes supersonic from a 16in barrel. Wish companies would go the route most did with 8.6 and sell subsonic ammo for different barrel lengths. Iv had 220gr 300blk break the sound barrier out of my 6 in Faxon barrel. Ridiculous!!!!

Looks like the original Sionics Suppressor, Mitch Werbell claim to fame. For those of us lucky enough to demo it at Suppressed Fest, it truly is something special. However, is quiet enough to make you throw hundreds of more Shekels to make it happen over the cheap and trusty R9, I'm not sure. I think we need a side by side comparison on this one.

I have two R9s, as well as a Resonator K from YHM and have been very happy with them. I also have a few other cans from AAC and Thunderbeast. I’m by no means a suppressor expert, but I have a few and I think the R9s perform great. Incredible value and I think you will be happy with it!

Considering it's rated for .350 legend supers out of a 16" barrel, I'm willing to bet it could handle 7.62x39 subs, maybe even supers, with a long enough barrel. Somebody should call them and ask.

I'd say the large blast chamber diameter and the first couple baffles are vented to ease back pressure into the rest of the stack.

Our warranty page needs to be updated. We have yet to ever charge a customer for warranty repair. If its minor damage we will fix it for free, but if you destroyed 90% of the thing we would just charge you OUR cost to repair it. You have already invested your time and money into a suppressor. We aren’t going to try and make money off of you in an already inconvenient situation.
